Just 6.4 miles from Chambers Bay, historic Heather Hill on Lake Steilacoom is a four bedroom architectural classic situated on 2.47 acres surrounded by classic gardens, and includes outdoor living and dining spaces, a media room, a Boat House on 138’ of lake frontage. This home has been lovingly restored and includes custom interiors designed in collaboration with Larry Hook. This architectural gem was designed to be reminiscent of Old Cotswold England by renowned architect Kirkland Cutter and built in 1922 for the Ernest Dolge Family.
We spent 5 days in this beautifully furnished, georgous home during the month of May. There is plenty to do such as kayaking or fishing on the lake, strolling around the gardens, antiqueing in town (great prices) restaurant hopping, cooking in the gourmet kitchen or simply relaxing by the outdoor fire pit or many fire places inside the manor. Close to the urban treasures of both Tacoma & Seattle, this was the perfect place for a much needed get a way. We cannot wait to come back again and bring our whole family. There is plenty of room for a big bunch and this rental was a great value!
