Recently completely renovated, this 1100 sq. foot apartment has hardwood floors throughout, 12 foot ceilings, stainless appliances and granite countertops in the kitchen, mantles in each room, and two full bathrooms. Bedrooms include 2 queen sized beds. A queen size air mattress is available at additional cost. Plenty of storage space, including a walk-in closet in the master bedroom, over-closet cubbies, and attic access. This apartment is in a great neighborhood, one block from Magazine St., and is in walking distance to all that Magazine St. has to offer - Starbucks, Stein's Deli, Tracey's, Parasols, The Bulldog, etc. Utilities - electricity, cable, water, and alarm - are included. Flexible lease offerings: weekly, monthly, six months and/or one year.

Why James Ludwig chose Central City/Garden District

This house is in New Orleans' Irish Channel neighborhood. We're right in the heart of Magazine street, with lot's of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and shopping nearby. Within a short walk, you can experience two restaurants consistently ranking in New Orleans' top ten - Commander's Palace and Coquette. There's also a Starbucks just a block away, not to mention our favorite deli - Stein's Deli.

What makes this house unique

We're so close to everything and you get the best of all parts of NOLA - Uptown, Garden District, Downtown, and French Quarter. The Garden District and all of its beautiful homes are just on the other side of Magazine Street. St. Charles Avenue, where you can catch the street car, is just 6 blocks away. The French Quarter and Central Business District are in walking distance - about 2.5 miles. The Universities - Loyola and Tulane - are also nearby.

Beautiful home in an amazing location!

The home was well appointed and very comfortable. The neighborhood was peaceful and parking was easy. The owners were very nice and easy to reach for questions. The written instructions for use of the property were concise and helpful for finding nearby places to eat and visit. I highly recommend this home for anyone who wants to be centrally located and enjoy excellent accommodations on their trip.

Great Place to stay

We had a great time at this house. It is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. We were there for Mardi Gras and were able to walk to parades, restaurants, and bars. Will definitely book this property for future stays in NOLA.

Great place! Great location! Great hosts!

This is a charming rental, beatifully updated yet maintaining it's original character. The location is wonderful. It's just a couple of blocks off Magazine St and super places to eat. A few blocks more to St. Charles St and easy access to the trolleys. I highly recommend this rental and look forward to returning

Great shotgun house in a great location

The house is a beautifully renovated shotgun house in a great location (and the owners allow pets!). The house has everything you need and there's a nice park just a few blocks away as well as good restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. We walked to lunch at Commander's Palace for one of the best meals we've had in years! You're also just a short walk through the Garden District to the St. Charles street car which takes you directly to the French Quarter. Besides that, you're only 10 minutes away from Walmart and 15 minutes from either Rouses or Whole Foods and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need if you decide to cook instead of eating out. All in all, it's a great place to stay if you're visiting New Orleans and the Ludwig's couldn't be nicer hosts!

Fantastic Experience!

After having stayed in our fair share of rental homes and properties across the country, I feel confident in saying that this was our best experience yet. James and his wife were welcoming, accommodating, and a joy to be around. They keep a clean and charming apartment, right off of Magazine Street. My husband and I stayed here with our small dog for just over two months and could not be happier with the location. When my husband had to leave on a business trip for a few days I felt completely safe and comfortable staying here without him. We were able to walk to a myriad of restaurants, shops, and bars within minutes. Make sure to ask James for some of the cities top restaurants, too! The apartment had all of the essentials included, we only brought our clothes and toothbrushes and felt right at home. It is a beautifully restored shotgun style apartment full of historic charm, with modern appliances and comforts. Although only the two of us were here, it would have been just as comfortable having a slightly larger group as well.

We would absolutely recommend this property to all of our friends and family and truly hope that we will have a chance to stay here again!
