Notes:
Perdido Key’s literal translation means “Lost Key,” so named by the early Spanish who discovered it in 1693. Until then, the Key was the well-kept secret of gulf coast Native Americans – Perdido Key’s first inhabitants. Bridges link Perdido Key to the Florida mainland and neighboring Alabama. Those who make the short drive across the water will agree that this “Lost” island is definitely worth discovering. “A part of Florida’s Emerald Coast and the self-proclaimed Redneck Riviera, Perdido Key boasts the soft, sugar white sand and warm, calm, clear blue waters that define this part of the Gulf coast. Simply put, the beaches here are spectacular. …” — Vicki P., Colorado “Perhaps the prettiest beach I have ever been on. The sand is white they have sea oats just blowing from the nice ocean air. …” — Lorraine N., Minnesota Go kayaking, charter a boat, watch the dolphins, walk a trail, spend time on the beach, eat some fresh seafood, then see what you can find to do in the afternoon.

Large and comfortable, perfect for grandkids!

  • 5 of 5

This house is roomy and well equipped for a wonderful week on the beach. Hermit crabs on the shoreline kept my 2 and 4 year old grandkids happily occupied . . . and the water was calm so they were able to enjoy playing in it. There is a community pool just a block away that we thoroughly enjoyed too. We rented a pontoon boat and were able to get up close to view the many dolphins that you will see here. Nearby restaurants were a hit - we tried the Oyster Bar, the Shrimp Basket and a Mexican restaurant and of course, Flor-Bama is a must-see as well and just a short drive away. My only suggestion to make the kitchen better would be to add a new knife block with some sharp knives - they were impossible to cut anything with. We did experience a one hour wait getting in while the house was being cleaned. Overall, a great week - thank you, Annette - your new throw pillows and comfy bedding were much appreciated!

Peaceful and Amazing Place!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home in a quiet and peaceful gated community. We had 9 people and plenty of room. House is amazing and decorated to make you feel like you are at the beach. Annette is awesome to work with and was readily available for any questions we had. We loved the location as we were so close to a Publix, all different kinds of food, and a short ride to one of the most beautiful beaches we've been on at Johnson's Beach. Pool and hot tub are very close and are really nice. The white sands of the private beach were awesome. Kids can catch hermit crabs, guys/gals can fish, play volleyball, watch the boats go by, and see dolphins each day. A grill is there to enjoy your catch. Fantastic vacation and we would love to go back. Thanks Annette for everything.

A***** Beautiful Townhouse On The Bay!

  • 5 of 5

The townhouse is beautiful inside and out. There are enough beds for twelve adults to sleep comfortably, and the bathrooms are more than adequate for a large group. The decor is perfect for a beach house.

BEAUTIFUL well stocked paradise for family!

  • 4 of 5

We arrived right after check in time only discover the cleaning crew was still there. Dispite the negative of having to wait for them to be done it was quite helpful having them inform us where things were that we would need. Once we got settled the place could not have been better! The rooms were huge and spacious! The beds were ok, not comfortable but not terrible. The decor gave the perfect vibrant feel for vacation. We ate in for all but three meals and let me tell you, there is more in that kitchen than in my own!(food processor, blender, Kuerig, coffee maker, cookie sheets...etc. I could go on all day!)They also provided a pack n play which was in excellent shape dare I say new! The beach was fabulous for our little family members! Hermit crabs for days, there were plenty of little fish to catch and sand to play in! Not to mention the neat boats that go by! Our little boys adored it, as well as us! There were also dolphins at least twice a day. Over all our stay was magnificent! The only negative con was definitely the cleanliness.... The showers were all pretty mildewy as well as the kitchen sink and the floors needed scrubbed. But as I said before the cleaning crew was still there when we arrived so they very well could have missed what they normally wouldn't have. Overall we would definitely stay here again! The price , the location, and quality were great! Awesome rental for family's!
