Perdido Key’s literal translation means “Lost Key,” so named by the early Spanish who discovered it in 1693. Until then, the Key was the well-kept secret of gulf coast Native Americans – Perdido Key’s first inhabitants. Bridges link Perdido Key to the Florida mainland and neighboring Alabama. Those who make the short drive across the water will agree that this “Lost” island is definitely worth discovering. “A part of Florida’s Emerald Coast and the self-proclaimed Redneck Riviera, Perdido Key boasts the soft, sugar white sand and warm, calm, clear blue waters that define this part of the Gulf coast. Simply put, the beaches here are spectacular. …” — Vicki P., Colorado “Perhaps the prettiest beach I have ever been on. The sand is white they have sea oats just blowing from the nice ocean air. …” — Lorraine N., Minnesota Go kayaking, charter a boat, watch the dolphins, walk a trail, spend time on the beach, eat some fresh seafood, then see what you can find to do in the afternoon.

Amazing place!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This property was amazing! We will definitely be staying here again! The kitchen was amazing and had more dishes, cookware, and just anything we needed to make a meal or even bake! The roooms were very nice and comfy. There was plenty of extra bedding and pillows. The best part was we could open the doors and let the kids run right out in the sand. The grill on the patio was great as well. We had many meals outside while the kids played. Awesome place to vacation!

Peaceful, plenty of room, close to everything, yet a bit away!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this home. It's location was perfect! We could catch hermit crabs by our beach, perfect for young children. We used the pool when it was too windy. We had teenagers so we drove the mile to the beach and enjoyed our days in the waves. The house was great for seven of us (we could have fit more). Blue Angels flew over the house on their way back from a show! Awesome! Just a bit down the road we ate at the Sunset Grill. Great food and we watched Dolphins swim by! We will stay here again! No one wanted to leave!

Beautiful vacation home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I shared this beautiful condo with another family for a week in March. We had 9 people and were very comfortable. The property was spotless when we arrived. The pictures really do not do it justice. It is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked, with the exception of plastic glassware, which would have been nice for taking a beverage to the water. We loved watching the pelicans dive in the water and the boats (especially the barges!) go by. We loved the fact that the kids could play on the beach and adults could be prepping dinner or grilling or just sitting on the patio. It didn't require all of us packing up our stuff to go down an elevator. It is close by to lots of great restaurants, but away from the bustle of Gulf Shores or Orange Beach (although if you want a change of scenery, they're a quick drive away.) We also loved seeing Blue Angels go overhead on occasion! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

It was beautiful in all areas. We will be back.

  • 5 of 5

The home was beautiful well laid out. We had plenty of room for the nine of us and we still had a hideaway I. The the couch we could have used. The kitchen is awesome with all the kitchen Ware you could ever need. We seen dolphin everyday in the bay. Usually in the morning and evening. The only drawback was towels (one each) and you need to plan shower time for the hot water. Neither is a big deal washed towels when we were headed out and staggered shower time. This house has a split heating and cooling system for upstairs and downstairs so everyone was comfortable. The bathrooms are amazing. I'm a contractor, I have done hundreds of bathrooms and these are as nice as any that I've have done. The community pool is heated hot tub my favorite. Saunas and workout equipment nice. Enjoy!

Absolutely Loved The Property

  • 5 of 5

We stumbled upon Banana Bay by luck and we are glad we did!!! There are several units in the complex but there are only 8 that back up to the private beach. We can't say enough about Annette's home. It was beautifully decorated and all of the rooms were huge. The back yard was an absolute oasis. We were lucky to find this place and will definitely be back.
