This private home was named after the owner's love of birds, particularly the hummingbird. It is perfect for your next Charleston Vacation. This house is located on a cul-de-sac in a quiet Mt. Pleasant neighborhood. You are a quick 4.5 mile drive to our gorgeous Isle of Palms beaches and less than 10 miles from downtown Charleston where you will find world class dining and shopping.

The owners have re-decorated from top to bottom with a beach meets shabby chic style. This home has 3 Bedrooms: The Master has a King Bed and your own private Bath, Bedroom 2 has a Queen Bed, and Bedroom 3 has Two Twin Beds (can be converted to king upon request). Plenty of Closet Space all around. The two guest rooms share a full bathroom. There is a large living room with couch, SMART TV, and DVD player. The kitchen is open with a bar, floating island and breakfast nook with seating for 4. This home comes with a Washer & Dryer as well. The FROG (Furnished Room Over Garage) Style room lends itself perfectly to a play room or office.

There is a screened porch off the living room that is perfect for curling up with a good book and a glass of sweet tea. Off the screened porch, you will find a deck with a gas grill, overlooking a gorgeous and serene pond.

Not only is the house cozy and welcoming, but it is in a great location! You would be minutes from Isle of Palms beach, Town Center, Palmetto Grand Movie Theater and a quick drive into Charleston for amazing dining, shopping, and history.

Great House!

We loved staying here! So much better than staying in a hotel, with all the comforts of home! We were able to save money by cooking at home and spending it on sight-seeing in Charleston! Great experience and if we ever vacation in the area again we will definitely be staying here!

Beautiful Home

My family and I stayed here in Aug 2016. This is a beautiful, clean, exceptionally well presented home in a perfect location for people needing a mixture of beach, sightseeing and shopping.

The house itself was clean, fresh and very well catered. Had everything we need for a 2 week stay, with great laundry facilities! It sits in a nice quiet community and backs on to a small picturesque pond. There is a screened outdoor area - which we dd not use.

Great cable with which to watch the Olympics - shame movies weren't included!

Beds, bedding and bathrooms were well stocked with clean, fresh and from what we could determine, relatively new linens.

For our purposes - catching up with friends, going to the beach and a bit of shopping, having Hummingbird Way booked took a great deal of stress away from the journey from the UK and afforded us the luxury of relaxing in a home emvironment rather thatn the sterile hotels you sometimes get!

Without question I would book again!!

Heaven on Earth

The home was beautiful. It was completely upgraded with all new appliances. The beds were all very comfortable and clean. The entire house was spotless. We especially liked sitting out on the all-weather porch. Opened all the sliders during the day with a beautiful breeze coming through. The house sits in a lovely court in a very nice neighborhood. Very welcoming! It had a hugh set of washer and dryer which was a bonus! The master bath was like being in a spa and a king size bed to top it off. I can't say enough great things about this home. The lady I dealt with "Emily Watson" was superb! She was very friendly and extremely accommodating. Will definitely work with her and any of her properties again.

Everything you need!

My family stayed at Hummingbird Way while our house was being packed up for a cross country move. It was truly a home away from home and had everything we needed. The kitchen was exceptionally well appointed for a rental house, and we appreciated the breakfast table in the kitchen for feeding our young kids. The airconditioned sunroom right next to the gas grill provided a nice change of pace when we wanted to eat outside one evening. There were towels galore, and very nice appliances. Very convenient to grocery shopping, and restaurants, too. We would definitely stay here again.

Serene, clean, convenient, and lovely

Hummingbird Way was better than the description. The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac, and it features three bedrooms and a porch that can be converted into a sleeping space. This worked perfectly for our family because we have someone who suffers from severe claustrophobia. She slept on the porch comfortably which gave me peace of mind because travel can sometimes be very difficult for this person.

In addition, the kitchen is well-stocked for a rental and features up-to-date appliances and an easy-to-use layout. The eat-in kitchen was perfect for our family. We didn't use the formal dining room because our toddler son is a messy eater, and Tthe tile floor in the kitchen wiped up easily after each meal.

The master bedroom is a serene oasis with a generous closet space, a luxurious master en-suite bathroom, and a king sized bed. It was perfect for our needs. The furniture and decorations are quite lovely, and although there's a subtle beach theme throughout the house, it's not a kitschy beach hell like some rentals.

Above all, the house was CLEAN, from top to bottom. I didn't open a drawer or cupboard and find a "secret mess" or overlooked grime. The house truly sparkled, and we appreciated that attention to detail. Ahhhh...I could relax and enjoy myself.

We had several recommendations for small improvements:

1) Please indicate when trash day is so that your renters can put the stinky trash barrel out, or better yet, have someone stop by and pull it to the curb. The trash barrel was partially full when we arrived, and it got really ripe during our weeklong stay.

2) A book containing household "rules" and policies would be nice. As we were checking out, I kept hoping I hadn't forgotten to do something important that was required. A checklist would have been ideal.

3) There was no hose at the outside faucet. When we came home from the beach, I would have liked to be able to more effectively spray off our sandy clothes, shoes, and gear. A hose would have been great.

4) The kitchen has no colander for rinsing fruit and veggies. We improvised, but adding one to the otherwise well-stocked kitchen would be great.

We will definitely consider returning to Hummingbird Way next year. It was perfect for our family's needs, and the location was convenient for travel to IOP and Sullivan's Island. Thanks for a great vacation experience!

Damage Deposit $69

Guest shall rent on a short-term basis from the Owner the property for the agreed upon arrival and departure dates and rates. Basic rental fee does not include 11.5% State sales tax, State and local accommodations taxes. Tax rates are calculated according to State sales tax, State and local accommodations taxes and fees and local laws in force at the time of this Agreement. Guest is responsible for payment of all applicable taxes in effect at time of occupancy. This must be paid prior to your arrival. Balances are due one month prior to arrival.
No open fires of any kind.
Cancellation Policy: ALL GUEST CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING. If you cancel your reservation, the confirmation deposit will be held until the property has been booked and confirmed for the same rental period for the same rate. There are NO exceptions. If the property is reserved for only part of the rental period or for less rent for the reserved days, the deposit will be refunded minus any uncollected rent for the rental period. All guest cancellations are subject to a cancellation-processing fee of 10% of the rental rate ($100.00 Minimum).
Agency and License: Watson Property Management Group, LLC is acting solely as agent for the Owner. Guest is NOT a tenant and has acquired no leasehold in the property. Guest is a Licensee of the Owner pursuant to S.C. State Code 45-2-20 et. seq. The term "rent" is used for convenience only.
Guest will restrict occupancy to the stated limit for the reserved property at all times. In the event that additional visitors beyond lease limit stay overnight, tenant will be charged $100 per person per night.
Basic cleaning is included in rental rate. Any damages or excessive cleaning fees will be charged in arrears.
Accidents: Guest agrees to hold owner and Watson Property Management Group, LLC harmless for any accident or injury whatsoever that may occur on the rental property or the surrounding area during occupancy. In the event of an emergency, call 911.
