Overview

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 7

This Big Bear Lake home has a fireplace, balcony, and WiFi access, and three comfortable bedrooms to ensure the whole group (up for seven guests) thoroughly enjoys their next lake or ski getaway.

You'll be just 15 minutes from skiing down the snowy mountain or wake-boarding across the smooth lake water during your stay here. Shopping and tasty eateries are all within 20 minutes so everyone can spend more time playing than driving.

Plop down on the comfortable leather sofas in the living room for a movie night on the large flatscreen TV with cable and DVD player, sit at the mini bar for drinks and a game of cards, or cozy up next to the gorgeous black-tiled fireplace to warm up after a day on the slopes.

The rustic kitchen and dining room table for six are ideal for home-cooked, sit-down meals. The fully-stocked kitchen includes all the major appliances (double ovens and a separate gas stove-top!) as well as a microwave, blender, coffeemaker, dishwasher, and plenty of cookware.

The lower-level also includes a washer and dryer, elegant crimson half-bath, and covered balcony with chairs and a grill so you can spend the warm summer evenings eating good food in even greater company.

Upstairs are the three cozy bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, large closet, flatscreen TV, and attached full bathroom with a lovely tiled shower and double sinks.

A queen bed occupies the second bedroom and the third bedroom, great for a small family, has a twin-over-full bunk bed and a pack-n-play. There is a second full bathroom down the hall with more amazing tile-work on the bathtub/shower combo as well. The tub is even jetted!

Year-round adventures are offered at Big Bear Lake with Bear Mountain and Snow Summit resorts for downhill skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and more during the winter. And in the summer, head to the lake for plenty of rentals choices and marinas for jet-skiing, tubing, boating, and fishing. Magic Mountain has mini-golf, a thrilling alpine slide, snow tubing, and a water slide for even more excitement. Drive 15 minutes to The Village for a meal at The Bistro, beers at Bear Lake Brewing Company, or unique, local shopping.

No matter what season you decide to book this impeccable home, there's something for everyone along with all the comforts of home.

About Vacasa, CA- Inland Empire Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

February Getaway

 • 4 of 5

The place was very spacious. Upon arrival, noticed that there were cigarette butts and spilled food on one of the balcony's and the main floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned/swept. The sleep number one bed in the master has a major dip in the middle so, bed was just OK. The area is very quite. A little drive to town though. Probably wouldn't stay here again because it's a little too far from town.

Blizzard Weekend!

 • 5 of 5

Sugar Shack was an awesome place to stay. Very cozy, woodstove fireplace to stay around with family and friends. Despite the weekend my family and I came upon and being snowed in and stuck in a blizzard, we made every bit of it fun! Awesome hill right next to the house to go sledding. Bear mountain to go snowboarding and skiing wasn't too far from the house about 15 min which my family and I had a blast at. Would definitely consider staying here any season.

Great Escape

 • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed this home. Everything was very clean and comfy. Plenty of cooking supplies etc in the kitchen. Location is very quiet with a great sledding area just up the street. This was one of our favorites.

Excellent stay!

 • 5 of 5

This was the first time we did a home rental in Big Bear and the experience was awesome! It was a very well maintained neat little home with all the amenities and kitchen stuff you can think of. The only thing I wish were different is a trash facility closer. Considering you have to take the trash out when you leave, it could atleast be somewhere closer than a back and forth drive of 35 mins. But other than that, great place!
