About Stacy & Chris Loveless

We live in Connecticut with our four girls. We have had a ton of fun at this house in the winter, summer and fall. As our kids have gotten older and their schedules a little tougher to control we haven't used the house as often as in the past. We travel often and use Airbnb and VRBO so we thought we would return the favor.

Stacy & Chris Loveless purchased this house in 2007

Why Stacy & Chris Loveless chose Ludlow

Great escape for family & friends to enjoy time together reconnecting with nature and each other.

What makes this house unique

In the winter, we often get up early, make breakfast and get out to the mountain often not returning until late afternoon. The wood stove in the living room, near the kitchen is usually the gathering place. If someone needs to spend the day hanging out, they will often have peace and quiet.

In the summer, we love living near the water, enjoying the shade of beautiful trees, listening to the loons, watching bald eagles, playing all day in the lake, cozying up by the wood-burning stove or fire pit and viewing the star-filled sky from the dock. Most of all…we love sharing these memories with family and friends.

Great place to vacation!

  • 4 of 5

Our family had a beautiful week at Lake Rescue. We spent most days in the lake, on the lake with the kayaks and canoe provided, or lounging on the dock.

We also enjoyed the town and loved that the owners provided us with a list of interesting things to do in the area, as well as shopping and places to eat. We went to Buttermilk Falls (10 min away), where brave kids and adults can jump off the rocks into the swimming holes below. The grandkids enjoyed splashing around in the water, and our 5yr old grandson even got brave enough to jump off the rocks. We even visited a farm! There is plenty to do in the surrounding area.

The house itself is well equipped, and has plenty to do, including toys, books, games, and ping pong. Our grandchildren especially enjoyed the toy room located under the stairs. They called it "the secret room!" We did have my 75 year old mom with us, and the house with all the stairs both inside and down to the dock was challenging for her, so keep that in mind if you have anyone in the family with physical limitations.

It is so obvious that the owners make every effort to provide guests with amenities and the comfort of home. We had a slight problem upon arrival, but Stacy was very quick to respond and help us, even though her own family was on vacation and out of the country in a different time zone! We really appreciated that.

Overall, this is a great place to vacation, and we really enjoyed our week!

Wonderful lake house

  • 5 of 5

The house was beautiful and impeccably clean with plenty of togetherness spaces and plenty of quiet spaces as well. Great kitchen, beautiful location. Lake was a little deep for the toddlers in our crew but EVERYONE enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat, squirt toys and fishing from the dock. Very thoughtful to allow access to the water craft and life jackets. Weather not too cooperative but thanks to the "things to do" list, we were able to spend a rainy afternoon at the indoor pool at Okemo
