Quaint home on cul-de-sac in the Village of Oak Creek. The village of Oak creek is 4 miles from Sedona proper with parkland in between. My home is situated within walking distance of a grocery store (2 blocks), 3 golf courses, shopping and cafe's. It is also walking distance to the Bell Rock trails. The property is 1/3 of an acre completely fenced in the back for your dogs to run. This home is tastefully decorated and equipped to help your stay be easier. Kitchen is full with a microwave, dishwasher , coffee maker and plenty of dishes. A propane barbecue is here for your enjoyment as well as a chiminea in the yard. You can perhaps roast a weinie or 2.
The house is equipped with AC and ceiling fans. This home stays remarkable cool in the summer . The sliding doors(3) are all equipped with screens so you may leave them open at night to enjoy the air. There is a woodburning stove that gives off plenty of heat in the colder months.
The bedrooms are spacious and bright with a walkout sliding door to the back in the room with the Queen bed. The mattresses are all high quality, and the bedding is all beautiful cottons for a restful sleep. There are 2 full bathrooms with generous water pressure for enjoyable showers.
I have equipped the house with an iron and ironing board. There is WiFi and a video player with movies for your enjoyment.
There are 2 bicycles on the premises for your use as well
I am Canadian and bought my house in Sedona after visiting the area a couple of times. I fell in love with the region of the red rock. The area serves me well as I love to hike and walk with my dogs. Beach travel has grown tiresome for me. I bought a house not only for my dogs but I am like a beaver, whereby I must be continually working on things in my home. If you are a Returning Visitor you will notice my projects every year as I continue to beautify my property!
Patti Anderson purchased this house in 2013
The Village of Oak Creek as quieter than Sedona Proper and much less traffic in the peak season, but is still on the Red rock. It is not on the outskirts. The Area is governed by regulations whereby the darkness or "Night Sky" is preserved. This is very different from being downtown Sedona where the businesses light up at night. You can sit on the front porch and listen to the crickets and watch the bats!
My Home is uniquely situated whereby you get the quiet and seclusion but can still walk to the grocery store!
This house was perfect for our family of 5. I couldn't find fault with it at all. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Sedona is a fantastic family destination - hiking, arts, shopping, great weather, only 2 hours to the Grand Canyon, beautiful scenery, thrilling jeep riding on the back roads. The list is endless. This was one of our best family vacations!!
We loved the charm of Patti's home with wonderful decorative touches that made it feel so cozy!
It was the perfect location for the day trips we had planned plus, we have always loved the red rock beauty of this area.
We were disappointed with only two things: there was not an adequate set of pots and pans for cooking meals for 4 people and we had hoped to do more evening meals at the house; and we would have loved the beds to be more comfy.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and it was a real treat to have ripe pomegranates from the bushes in the yard!
Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us, Patti!
I spent almost a month here - not on vacation but in the middle of real-estate transaction. The house is spacious for only having 2 bedrooms (there are additional but I think they are for owner use only). The appliances are new, the shower pressure is awesome and the fact that they are pet friendly is super. The location is right at the beginning of 179 so on a weekend afternoon you will have to go through traffic if you are looking to get to anywhere past Bell Rock. The grocery store is super convenient to get to. The couple of items that could use improvement are - the headboards aren't attached to bed frames and I felt like I was going to knock them down getting in and out of bed. There were a couple of gopher holes in yard that I covered with handy cinder blocks - I was scared my dogs would hurt their legs in them and there were some weeds with burrs. These are all easy fixes on the owner's part. If you have a couch potato in the group - the TV is smallish but most Sedona visitors shouldn't have that problem. Also, it is not decorated in your typical southwest style that you see in Sedona. That isn't a plus or a minus in my opinion. The owner is so pleasant to deal with and the price is great for Sedona where everything is usually overpriced. I would definitely recommend this property.
We enjoyed our stay here very much. The kitchen has everything you would need. The beds were very comfortable. The landscaping is incredible. Plus it's in Sedona! Would recommend to a friend
Very nice clean and comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. Very convenient location in the Village of Oak Creek, just a few miles from Sedona. House is well kept, nicely decorated inside with beautiful landscaping outside. Especially fond of the fenced back yard - great for our dog. Also enjoyed the patio and gas barbeque as we spent many evenings barbequing and enjoying the evening outside. Patti is a very good host/owner and very responsive to our needs. I would recommend others to stay here.
At every step the owner was easy to touch base with, and answered all questions and concerns. The area is beautiful and close to shops and restaurants as well as hiking. We enjoyed every minute of our time here!
Visit Hieroglyphics / caves and ziplining at wildlife park in Camp Verde. Historic town of Jerome is less than 1 hour drive

At this time I will not be accepting bookings for longer than 2 months.
The months of march, april, may, october and november, the longest booking accepted will be 4 weeks. Please note there is some wiggle room on this.
I also do not book more than 6 months in advance.
In addition I have had issues with the house being left filthy. I have white and light colored bedding. For the people staying with animals you must be aware this can be a tricky mix.. If these are left in such a state that the housekeepers spend an inordinate time cleaning, extra fees will be deducted from the damage deposit.
