Red Roof Log Cabin has two bedrooms with an open floor plan consisting of a living room, kitchen, dining area, and powder room on the first floor. The downstairs has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and a set of bunk beds, the other with a queen bed. Bathroom with a shower convenient to both bedrooms. Our cabin has a front porch with comfortable furniture on it so you can watch the kids roast their marshmallows in the fire pit or just relax with a cool drink. There is also a deck off of the Living Room and Kitchen for you to enjoy your lunch or dinner or just relax and watch the wildlife roam through the woods.
We have been renting our cabins for 10 years and are committed to making your stay with us as enjoyable as possible. Our family owned business consists of Gordy & Judy Groff and our son Steve, his wife Megan and two children Chloe & Ella. We have three other grandchildren, Katie, Kristie and Nick which enjoy coming to the mountains and helping with any project we are doing to improve the properties. Beth Morningstar is our property manager and takes care of any questions or problems you may
have during your stay. She is very quick to return any calls and takes care of problems in a very timely fashion.
We all love nature and the mountains and are drawn to water like the
beautiful Raystown Lake. We travel often and want to have our guests
experience the same quality stay we would enjoy.
We all work during the summer to make any improvements on our cabins
to make your stay with us more enjoyable. We purchased the property
in 2005 and since that time have upgraded furniture, decks and the front
porches. From the front porch you can and relax as you enjoy a cool drink
and feel the cool breeze as the evening sets in.
There are 6 chairs around the fire pit so you can enjoy time with family
and friends or just enjoying everyone roasting marshmallows.
The back deck is convenient to have your morning coffee while overlooking
our ten acre wooded area and watching all the wildlife.
Beth Morningstar purchased this cabin in 2005

Our cabin was very warm and cozy. It provided all the essentials. Love the view off the deck. We will definitely come back again. Thank you.
Nicely decorated with comfortable furniture. The balcony in the back was a pleasant surprise. Very clean and cozy. Great experience!
Cabin was very clean and charmingly decorated with a mountain motif. But... attention prospective renters... one must supply all linens, and towels, which could be a problem if you are traveling via plane. Didn't realize this until after we had booked and paid (our bad). We were driving with our daughter and granddaughter, up from Florida, so packing sheets and towels for 4 people was a bit much. We've used vrbo many times, and this was a first for us. Also, there was no corkscrew for wine, nor were there wine glasses...oh well, we made due.
I would recommend the cabin. Quiet, comfortable, very, very clean.
very nice, clean, quiet, comfortable, relaxing, great time had by all.close to 7 points.the owners were very helpful with anything you need.we will be back!!
I cant say enough about how beautiful the cabin was. It was way nicer than what I had expected. The location is great. Far enough out that no one bothers you but close enough to access to the lake and town. I will definitely be adding this to my list of places to get away.
Overall it was a wonderful place to stay! It was very nicely decorated and very clean! The owner was very friendly and made sure that your questions were all answered. Overall wonderful vacation spot!
