About Christy Chamberlain
We are a family owned business and have been renting our cabins since 2005. We strive to update and improve them every year. You will find members of our family on site all summer to answer any questions or to help with any problems. Christy Chamberlain is our property manager and also takes care of any questions or problems you may have during your stay. She is very quick to return any calls and takes care of problems in a very timely fashion. We all love nature and the mountains and are drawn to water like the beautiful Raystown Lake. We travel often and want to have our guests experience the same quality stay we would enjoy. We all work during the summer to make any improvements on our cabins to make your stay with us more enjoyable. We purchased the property in 2005 and since that time have upgraded furniture, decks and the front porches. From the front porch you can and relax as you enjoy a cool drink and feel the cool breeze as the evening sets in. There are 6 chairs around the fire pit so you can enjoy time with family and friends or just enjoying everyone roasting marshmallows. The back deck is convenient to have your morning coffee while overlooking our ten acre wooded area and watching all the wildlife.

Sweet little cabin ... nothing too prissy that we couldn't feel a cozy type atmosphere.
Description of cabin and surrounding area was spot on. We found everything just as promised. I must say I was a little disappointed when I first saw the outside of the Red Roof Cabin, but once I walked in the front door there was not a shred of foreboding ... it's a lovely, warm, and family suitable cabin, a home away from home. We experienced a cold rain the entire time we were there, but that didn't dampen our spirits or challenge us in any way. We simply pulled on our boots, raincoats, and umbrellas and headed out into the woods to explore. Fun! Our weekend sped by. We were downhearted to realize it was over and time to head back to our normal lives. Yes, I would recommend this charming "escape" to anyone who enjoys the slow pace and wooded grace of Huntington, PA.

The cabin was great, exactly as advertised. A short 15 minute drive to Allegrippis mountain bike trails. Can’t wait to go back.

The cabin was located in a quiet area, clean and perfect for the group we were traveling with for a long weekend. The property manager was very prompt in addressing a concern an warmly welcomed us upon arriving. Would recommend to others staying in this area.

Was everything the ad described!
Perfect weekend get away to celebrate a birthday with great friends!! Enjoyed the whole area - would definitely return to this cabin.
Thanks so much for your nice review, we are very happy to know you enjoyed your time at Raystown Country Cabins. Please come again.
Loved the outside of the property. Very private!
We loved the cabin but there are some things I wish the owners would think about. The biggest issue was the musty smell down stairs. Maybe a dehumidifier or another air conditioner? The mattress was terrible we didn’t sleep all three nights. Now I know it’s a cabin but your paying for the comforts of home. The housekeeping was terrible. The fridge was dirty and the oven needs cleaned. The shower had a lot of scum and the shower curtain needs replaced. Toothpaste on the handles and faucet. Ceiling fan has so much dust on it. I’m sorry, I have a cleaning business and these are the things that should be cleaned for every guest.
We are happy that you enjoyed the outside of our cabin and the privacy that the location offers. We apologize for the inconveniences you had during your stay. We promise that we are working on these issues. We have had a substantial amount of rain this season that lends to the musty smell, but we are working to resolve this. We will work with our cleaning crew to ensure that the property is cleaned properly and ready for guests. Thank you for your review, Christy
