A relaxing spot with gorgeous views!
My husband and I loved our recent stay here. The place is really cute and comfy. The verandah was our favorite spot to hang out, especially the hammock! Tracey was a great host -was easy to get in touch with, quick to reply, and very welcoming.
Thank you to both of you for being such amazing guests. You were so low maintenance, so at home, and so open to the experience. It’s always a pleasure to have guests like you, and we certainly hope to see you again one day. Thank you for leaving the bungalow so tidy.
Warmest regards to you both
Ideal place to stay
Loved staying here. Great views over the harbour and the bungalow was spacious and well equipped. You need a rental car to get around and explore the island and it's many beaches. The beach towels and mats provided were much appreciated. It was quiet season when we were here so lots of places were closed or on reduced opening. Nelson 's dockyard was worth visiting and the Copper & Lumber store Hotel was a nice place to eat. Thoroughly recommend the bungalow as a place to stay and explore Antigua.
It's always so wonderful when guests take a moment to let us know what they liked about Antigua and about staying with us. Thank you so much for your feedback. Our side of the island is, indeed, quiet during the summer months, but we are just a short drive from the fun activities of the carnival season during that time. Our area buzzes with the activity of the stunning yachts, many restaurants and activities during the winter months. We are lucky to have the best of both worlds. Thank you and we hope to host you again in the future
As return visitors we love Banana Tree Bungalows and just can't stay away! The views across the harbour when sitting or enjoying a meal on the verandah are truly wonderful. The location is ideal- restaurants, a couple of small beaches and a shop are all near to hand. Historic Nelson's Dockyard and English harbour are a short drive, bus or taxi ride away. We cannot recommend the bungalows highly enough.
Thank you again for taking the time to send us feedback. It is always appreciated. Enjoy the rest of the year
Banana Tree is a very tastefully appointed and romantic bungalow with gorgeous views
Tracey is hands down the best host we've ever had. We were greeted warmly to an impeccably clean, tastefully appointed bungalow with sweeping views of Falmouth Harbour and the beautiful array of yachts and sailboats. It's perfect for a couple or a small family. The veranda is ample with casual seating and separate dining, as well as, a hammock. The yard is large, well maintained and gently shared with the 2nd bungalow, making it an excellent option for two families traveling together. The kitchen has absolutely everything and the grocery store is at the bottom of the hill. There are a few nice places to eat just across the street on the water. I can't imagine staying there without a rental car even though it's pretty centrally located. Plus, Antigua is meant to be explored. You could find a new bay and beaches every day. This was my 14th trip to Antigua and this is my favorite place to stay so far. We will definitely be back and look forward to seeing Tracey again.
Simply the best
Our eagerly awaited return visit to this delightful bungalow certainly lived up to expectation. The beautiful views across the harbour from the veranda, with its comfortable sitting and eating areas, will live long in the memory. The stylish bungalow has everything you need for a very comfortable stay, with a well equipped kitchen and unexpected extras such as beach mats, a good torch (invaluable for finding your way up the track at night) and an umbrella. The friendly, attentative owners could not be more welcoming or helpful. The thoughtful welcome pack has everything to make a meal and get you through the first night and beyond, while the beers and wine on ice were very much appreciated.
The location is excellent too, within easy walking distance of Bailey's supermarket, restaurants, the marina and small beaches in front of Catamaran Hotel and Papas restaurant. SweetT's, ice cream parlour and snackette, also offers reasonably priced Caribbean and 'fast food' . Papas opened very recently and does brunches, lunches, including Sundays, and is open for evening meals twice a week. Food is good but rather expensive. These restaurants all have live music. The Captain's Quarters, next to Catamaran Hotel, is right on the water with decent, reasonably priced food and Cambusa, on the marina, offers more expensive Italian food.
English harbour and historic Nelson's Dockyard, with the huge choice of restaurants and good beaches at Galleon and Pigeon, are a short bus or taxi ride away. Although a car isn't really necessary, it does enable you to explore the whole island, including the many stunning beaches, off the beaten track.
We cannot recommend these bungalows more highly, or thank Tracey and Owen enough for yet another fantastic holiday!
Thank you to two wonderful, returning guests. We look forward to being able to host you whenever you are in Antigua. You are now a part of our BTB Family and we will always welcome you home.
Amazing bungalow made our Antiguan vacation terrific
We stayed at the bungalow with our two young children for 10 days in January and had an amazing stay. The bungalow is beautifully furnished and every detail is thought through, from tiki torches and outdoor candles, a telescope to view the boats in the harbor, to a beautiful flower arrangement on the deck dining table. The view of Falmouth Harbor was awesome and we spent a lot of time sitting on the deck relaxing, watching boats, and listening to the local wildlife. Tracey was always very helpful with questions we had and offered recommendations for things to do, babysitter services, renting a car, beaches, etc. The location of the bungalow was great. Several amazing beaches were very close by in town, but it was easy to drive to other beaches within 30 minutes. We could walk to several restaurants on the water and two small markets for food and wine. I have only wonderful things to say about our stay at Banana Tree Bungalows or Falmouth Harbor--we had a wonderful vacation and hope to be back on another vacation.
Thank you to an absolutely beautiful family...
We truly enjoyed hosting you at our home. We were amazed at how easily you settled into the low keyed island life, even with two babies. We enjoy having such independent holiday makers such as yourself, who explore and enjoy the island and appreciate the efforts we make to make you happy and comfortable at the bungalow. We would truly love to have your family back. Warm regards from Antigua.
