KIKI’s Kamp is our full time residence.

There is a 2 night minimum during the off season.

Summer - Sunday to Sunday rental.

Please inquire for stays shorter than one week in the summer.

Our home is 2500 square feet all on one level and offers generous living, dining and kitchen areas in the center between the 2 sleeping areas. Every room has a view of the ocean. This layout makes it a perfect vacation rental for 2 small or one large family. Located at 333 S. Bald Head Wynd, KIKI’s Kamp is about 50 steps across the street from the beach access and a 7 minute walk to the Bald Head Island Club. It is a short ten minute ride to the Maritime Market and about the same distance to the island ferry landing.

• East side has Queen bedroom, Bedroom with 2 Twins and a full bathroom to share. Twin bedroom has 32” flat panel tv, blu ray – smart DVD player and seating. Perfect for the children to play games or watch tv and videos.

• West side has King Bedroom with en suite full bath, Full bathroom off of hallway and bedroom with 2 twins.

• Center living area has a large seating area and wet bar as well as a smaller seating area and a casual dining/game table. Large dining area seats 10 comfortably. Also included is a Smart tv, DVD/CD player and a wide variety of music CD’s

• Galley kitchen opens to the living area with a breakfast bar for 4. The kitchen is well equipped for all of your cooking needs.

• South west facing large front deck with screen porch as well as a covered area has a spectacular view of South Beach and the fascinating shipping channel.

• Cool and inviting north east facing rear deck is a great place for quiet afternoon reading.

• Outdoor shower with dressing area to refresh yourself and the kids after a day at the beach.

• Even if it rains, the children have an expansive area to play in the sand under the house.

We have been living full time on Bald Head Island for 15 years. We have access to wonderful repair services and are only a phone call away should you require any assistance during your stay. We are also available if you have any questions about activities and services on the island.

About the island

If you are looking for a busy fast paced vacation spot with crowded beaches, lots of traffic, Bald Head Island is not for you. If you favor quiet and relaxing time with your family and friends then a vacation on Bald Head Island is for you. Bald Head Island is only accessible by passenger ferry. The Shoals Club and The Bald Head Island Club have a variety of dining options as well as plenty of recreational activities for the whole family and will enhance your vacation experience on the island. There are other dining and recreation options. For a complete directory for island activities got to to view the Bald Head Island Chamber of Commerce web site. Even though you feel like you are on a remote island, we pride ourselves in our excellent Public Safety and other municipal services. In an emergency a call to 911 is responded quickly and professionally by certified EMS personnel. Beginning May 18, 2015 Dosher Hospital will be manning a health clinic 7 days a week in the Public Safety Building on the island. A Physicians Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will be available to treat minor injuries and illnesses.

Excellent home, would book again!

First time family of 4 staying on BHI. Excellent home. Two things stood out: 1) great beach access; just had to cross the small street and located right at a beach access point. 2) all amenities were exactly as promised and great communication with owner before, during, and after stay. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is a few minor issues (one of the blinds in a bedroom was broken upon arrival, making sleeping in difficult) and the home had the normal wear and tear you would expect from a 30 year old beach property. Still, would recommend and would stay there again. Thanks for your hospitality, Chris!

Perfect location!

This house was in the perfect spot. Right across from the beach. Close to the BHI Club and the grocery store. Less than 10 minute cart ride to the Shoals. Had a great week!

Great Location and Water View!

We had a fantastic August getaway. This house was stocked and had everything we needed for a terrific beach vacation with three teens - beach chairs, towels, umbrella, boogie boards as well as bikes. Lots of outdoor space with open, covered and screened in porches. Location was perfect to get to the BHI Club as well as Shoal's.

Beautiful House With an Amazing Ocean View

Our family of five and Jack Russell Terrier had a great time at Kiki's Kamp. The house itself is beautifully decorated and roomy, with a spacious kitchen, dining room and living room in the center and two separate wings with bedrooms, all one one floor. The view of South Beach was amazing both from inside the home, from the screened-in porch, and on the deck.

We had been to Bald Head before and chose Kiki's Kamp for the unobstructed ocean view. When we arrived, we were pleased that the pictures were all accurate. Even with three young kids we could easily walk directly to the beach, carrying all of our gear, without using the golf cart. Beach access is literally just steps away, right across the street. Even in mid August, this part of South Beach was uncrowded, too. The BHI Club is also very close to the house and our three kids, (9, 8 and 5) all liked to bike there each day, while we followed them in a golf cart.

The owners were great to work with, very responsive and made the process easy. We would love to go back to Kiki's Kamp.

Wonderful for family vacation!

We had a great week at Chris' home. The best was being able to walk across the street to the beach - something important if you have teens under 16 (need a driver's license for golf carts). Bald Head has specific beach access points that cut across the dunes in certain areas. Chris had bikes for all of us to use, boogie boards, beach chairs, all the beach gear we needed.

Our teens found plenty to do from surf lessons to sailing to kayaking in the creek. That said, it is a quiet, peaceful island with not a lot of action. Chris' home is the perfect place to relax and watch a sunset with all of the views.

The home itself had a good layout and was well-equipped. She is quite a cook and has all of the kitchen gear you can think of! We were delighted to find that the Maritime Market had fresh, local seafood that came in every day.

Chris was so helpful - she met us as we arrived and was happy to answer any questions. We would recommend this property!

Excellent location. Ideal family vacation.

We had an excellent vacation at Bald Head, and we were entirely pleased with this home! The location was steps from the beach, and it was easy to get to both ends of the island, the grocery and the marina! We had plenty of supplies available so it felt more like being at your own beach house than a rental! Thanks for such a comfortable and fun vacation!!
