We are Marilyn and Carlyle Reynolds from Atlanta, GA. We have been coming to the Emerald Coast twice a year for 11 years now and find it to be the best place to get away and recharge. With the growth of our family we recently upgraded to this property from a nearby studio rental. With the former, we had many happy and repeat renters over the last 6 years. This was a very nice condo with many aminities. It was a bit of a walk to the beach but very manageable. The pool, and fitness center were very nice and accessable. There were only three of us who stayed, but was a bit tight when my brother and his family would come over for diner, but we managed fine. Also, it seamed to lack some storage for dry food when we bought groceries. The facility and condo were very nice and updated, and overall a wonderful stay was had. Thank you for all of your help and alowing us to visit our family in your home.

Clean and nice

Condo has 3 nice sized bedrooms with queen beds. 2 nice sized bathrooms. Never ran out of hot water during showers even if the washer and dishwasher was running. Smaller kitchen and living area but worked fine for a vacation. Bring your own pillow if you are sensitive to strange pillows. Beds were comfy enough. Couch in living room is hard and uncomfortable but with the amount of time spent at condo it wasn't worth a lower star rating. Kitchen could use a few more items like a strainer and maybe one big skillet. Had to use the two smaller skillets to make enough scrambled eggs for 6 people. But again we made it work. Beach was further than we anticipated but parking wasn't a problem especially considering how busy it was in the area during our stay. Beach was beautiful here, clear and clean! A new Publix is so close it was super convenient! Owner was super easy to get a hold of when we arrived later than check-in time due to traffic. She walked us through getting in the gate and the condo before hanging up to make sure we got in which we were extremely grateful for. Overall, we would stay here again.

Great Condo along the 30a!

We love this area in Blue Mountain Beach and this condo is a perfect location for those wanting a nice pool in a quiet area only a short drive to the beach. The 3 bedrooms worked out great for us and everything has been updated. Good layout and super easy to walk to the pool and access the 30a! Everything was as shown and we would rent this unit again for sure. We love being a mile away from our favorite local restaurant 'Local Catch' and the Blue Mountain Creamery, we got ice cream 3 nights and doughnuts 3 mornings! Closest public beach access was perfect everyday.

not very impressed with the condo

The place wasn't close enough to the beach. The condo didn't provide a mop, enough trash bags, tissue paper and paper towels. We had to go the grocery store to get all of the above. I stayed in other condo's that provided all of this things. Not enough sitting area.

We did want to respond to your comments. 1) in regards to "the place was not close to the beach", we clearly post in our VRBO listing a map of our location and the following description: "BEACH ACCESS Info: The Village at Blue Mountain Beach Condominiums has easy access to the public beach at the end of Hwy 83 where it meets 30A. At this public beach, there are bathrooms and during the season, lifeguards are present. This beach access has parking, and additional street parking is available. (about 0.7 miles from our condo located at 87 Village Blvd, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459)" There is no ambiguity about the distance to the beach. If the guest wanted to be on the beach, she could have chosen to do so by paying 2 1/2 times our rental rate for a beach front property. 2) in regards to "condo didn't provide a mop, enough trash bags, tissue paper and paper towels", we do provide a vacuum cleaner and we have rented two condo units since 2011, and this is the first time our guest complained about supplies. Our cleaning company provides a supply of amenities on par with other 30A rentals that they are responsible for. In addition, we would have welcomed a call or e-mail from you during your stay, and we certainly would have tried to accommodate any additional needs. However, we did not hear from you during your stay. 3) in regards to "Not enough sitting area", our listing pictures of the condo unit clearly shows the accommodations. The pictures do not lie and they show 4 chair/kitchen table and 4 person-2 piece sectional sofa. If this is not enough to accommodate your party, the guest certainly had a choice to choose another property. We believe we have been clear about the amenities of our condo through the descriptions and pictures on our listing. Our competitive rental rate also reflects that we are not a beach front property, but a standard vacation rental property that is walking distance to the beach located in a safe, gated property with decent accommodations of fitness center and gated swimming pool that families can enjoy during their stay.
