A lovely little cottage in the centre of St Ives.

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cottage! We parked at the rugby club and walked down and then we didn’t use the car again. It was lovely to arrive to a cream tea and the cottage was spotless. We were a stone’s throw away from shops, pubs, restaurants and the sea. Perfect. Thank you.

Cozy central hideaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely four nights in St Ives. Salubrious End is very very central to everything that is going on - shops, bars, harbour front etc. but is set back just enough from Fore Street that the cottage itself is very quiet and private.

The cottage itself is small but cozy and authentically furnished. The stairs are steep and everything creaks a bit when you move around, but that’s just the charm of the place. The important things were all good, including a comfortable bed, decent shower and good cooking facilities - although there are so many places to eat nearby that cooking seems a shame!

The central location comes at the cost of parking and easy access - Island and Barnoon carparks are fairly close (the route to Island is better as less steep) but spaces were hard to come by on a bank holiday weekend and they are far enough away to make you regret overpacking!

Although we didn’t meet Debbie, she was extremely helpful with details and information in advance and it’s clear that she puts a lot of personal attention into each guest.

Sadly we forgot to sign the visitors wall before we left (you’ll find out if you visit!) so we will just have to plan a return trip...

Lovely traditional cottage with shops, harbour and restaurants on the doorstep

  • 4 of 5

Great location and perfect inside for two. Cosy and well equipped kitchen and snug sitting room. Lovely traditional feel but with some contemporary art touches too. A very relaxing stay and so easy to walk everywhere. Only comment to others would be that there are steep stairs up to the bedroom and down to the kitchen which we managed but which could be tricky for some. We were given various helpful options re driving/arrival. We thought it's definitely better parking in the pay & display Sloop car park nearby and unloading cases as the cottage is just a short walk away. But you then need to move the car to the station car park with the cottage parking permit and walk back and do this in reverse when leaving so that you return the permit - this took us longer than we'd anticipated. Overall though a great find, a helpful host and a lovely spot in pretty St Ives.

Gemütliche country style Wohnung. Alles vorhanden!
