Spectacular views!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay here! The lake was literally 20 feet from the front deck with thrilling views from 3 sides of the cottage. Breathtaking sunsets!!!

The cottage itself is quaint and somewhat rustic, but with plenty of room for 7 adults and a dog. It was also super clean and well-stocked with necessities for the first few days or longer. We appreciated the scrapbook with the history of Juniper Beach, as well as the extra books and games. Short walk or drive to great beaches.

Absolutely magical---we can't wait to come back!

Amazing view.

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived late Friday night. The winds were so strong the waves were crashing so loudly. We felt like we were on top of the waves. Being that it was so dark out we were a little freaked out. And we needed to use the wood burning stove. Note to self. Read the note Laurie left for you first. Ha! Once we figured out the wood burning stove. It was awesome. The view when we woke up was breath taking really. If you like to look out and see endless lake! Beautiful sunsets. House completely equipped with everything you need. It was super clean. We had 2 trailers and two trucks. Fit perfectly on property. Really close to the dunes, which is why we came. The ONLY thing I suggest is updating the deck. Otherwise perfect, I can see us renting again in the future. Thanks for allowing us to stay!! We had a great time.

Rustic cottage family getaway

  • 4 of 5

Let me say, our stay was four stars because it was just what the doctor ordered! The cottage is VERY rustic/natural/bare bones kind of cottage. I would rate the cottage as a three star, only for an FYI. We loved it! It was just what we were looking for, nothing fancy, nothing modern. The family story behind this cabin is pretty cool too!

Our furry kiddos were able to enjoy our family getaway. They really loved their time at the cottage, on the deck, and going up and down the steps to the lower deck landing.

We spent lots of time on the deck watching the sunsets which were WOW! There is no beach because it is covered due to high lake waters. You can get in but be careful because there is only a ladder to get down to the water from the steps.

There is no TV, so come prepared with games and card games you enjoy. The cabin does provide some games, puzzles, and cards. What better way to enjoy quality family time in the evenings :)

Washer is included but no dryer. There is a clothes line, baskets, and clothes pins to hang laundry. Yes, we enjoyed breaking away from modern amenities and hanging laundry. Our daughter took pictures because she thought it was pretty neat.

There is so much to do out of the cottage. It is in a great location to trails, sand dunes, state parks, and light houses.

Laurie is a great person to work with and seems to be a VERY fun person :)

Thank you for allowing our family to enjoy your family cottage!
