About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Close to everything, clean and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend staying here!
Charming house with plenty for family
The house was in a great location, and had plenty of space for kids and grown ups. No one had to double up! Master bed was really comfortable and the place was really clean. Lots of thick fluffy towels, and Hot tub was a bonus, as was access to the bay and close to everything. Lots of retro/classic beach house charm. Our boys were loving it.
Downsides: It was chilly. Granted, the heaters warmed the place up, but it was a bit drafty, and the fireplace heater was "out of order". Rooms were dim - no decent lighting in the downstairs. No access to cleaning products (could have used a broom and dustpan to clean up after ourselves, a little all purpose cleaner and a second sponge). The portable dishwasher was definitely old school, and we wound up doing dishes by hand - couldn't keep it connected to the utility room sink. And it smelled like pet -- get the carpets out of the bedroom and upstairs, and that would likely help a lot. Address those things, replace a few cracked dishes and get a cookie sheet, and the weekend would have been excellent. With a new roof, insulation, and windows, I might consider making an offer on the place, LOL!
So much room for improvement!!!
We’ve stayed at many vacation rentals and this one was by far the worst one ever. I’m very surprised it had such good reviews. For what we paid I expected something much nicer. First of all the upstairs was super creepy and there was a super scary looking big stuffed monkey in the room with the twin beds. My kids think the upstairs is haunted. (I wouldn’t go that far but it’s definitely not welcoming) Needless to say my kids wouldn’t go up there and definitely would not sleep up there so my daughter slept on the hard leather couch the whole stay. None of the rooms have dressers to unpack so we just had to keep everything in our suitcases. The queen bed is on wheels and every time you roll over it bangs against the wall. Usually rental homes have some dvds or toys for the kids. This one had nothing!
The shower had super crappy pressure and did not drain properly so you ended up standing in 3 inches of water. When my six year old tried to take a bath the drain plug didn’t work so his bath kept draining.
The house was very ill equipped, there wasn’t even laundry soap. I had to go buy some to start the load of laundry as requested. No back porch light or a light over the bbq. Also, the lighting in the kitchen is terrible. A light over the sink or the stove would be nice. We didn’t even try to use the dishwasher since it was in the laundry room. (Very odd). When we arrived the house was freezing cold and when we turned the heat on it kept blowing the breaker.
The most disappointing thing for my husband was not meeting the owner or getting a copy of his book like the description said we would. He was so looking forward to hearing about fishing and crabbing in the area. I’m not sure if I’ll ever book a Vacasa home again. We were so displeased with this rental that we left a day early and got a hotel room. We had a fantastic vacation seeing the sights on the Oregon Coast but wish we had chosen a nicer rental in a town with a little more going on. Waldport is definitely not a tourist town and the few local people we talked to were extremely rude.
Ware very disappointed to read this review. We will check the tub drain and plug and follow-up with housekeeping on properly stocking the home. We will also look into the situation with the book. Thank you!
I loved the fact that the beach is literally right there, my big was able to run on the beach with the kids at low tide and we are coming back here for sure.
great family time
great views, house, yard, hot tub, fire pit.....everything in walking distance
Perfect yard & view!
Loved the location. Yard was adorable. Wish the lighting was better in the house as well as more heat and or blankets. Would love to go back in the summer months. Was looking forward to meeting the owner & seeing his book. My husband is a crab fisherman in Alaska & was eager to chat up stories!
