About Peg Ayers
We're Bill & Peg Ayers. We discovered Damascus, "The Friendliest Town on the Trail" in early 2008 and we love it more each year! This house was our own until a few years ago when we moved to "the country" just a mile and a half away. We live there with our two spoiled pups, Dolly, a Miniature Schnauzer, and Furby, a Yorkie Mix Bill found wandering down a highway in the rain! And now we have Miss Kitty Mittens, an adorable gray tabby who needed a home! We hated to leave our comfy home with all the renovations we've put into it: a stainless steel kitchen, wood floors, two complete bedroom suites with walk-in closets and beautiful full baths and much more, and we're excited to share it with you!
Peg Ayers purchased this House in 2008
Why Peg Ayers chose Damascus
We've lived in many places throughout our life together (more than 30 years of marriage) including Wyoming, Ohio, and West Virginia, and we agree that Southwest Virginia is the perfect place to live! All four seasons are amazing, and there's always something to do!

WE LOVED MAPLE APPLE MANOR! Convenience, location, home provisions were all OUTSTANDING!
Maple Tree Manor is a PERFECT Get away in the heart of the Damascus, VA region. The home offers top notch kitchen appliances with a well stocked kitchen. The bedrooms had wonderful sleeping arrangements. Ms. Peg Ayers, the property manager is so WONDERFULLY HELPFUL and VERY RESPONSIVE!!
From beginning to end, Peg was amazing to work with. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and promptness are all greatly appreciated. The house was really nice, and clean...perfect in every way!
We had a quick 2 night stay for a family event and this house was perfect. The house is roomy, the location is great, I would definitely stay again.
The house was very clean, the bedrooms and baths are huge and the common living areas are comfortable. Especially loved that my elderly mother could get in and out easily and the shower was accessible for her.
Great location for weekend with college friends!
Very clean and spacious home. Great walkable location in Damascus and easy drive to Abingdon. The home had wonderful gathering areas for our group. Definitely recommend!
Thanks so much, Marcia! It was a pleasure hosting your wonderful group--hope you can join us again next year!
House was spacious and very clean.
The owner Peg was very responsive to anything we needed. She came to the house twice to try and get the gas fireplace working and also mailed me some good hiking socks that she discovered left behind. Would highly recommend for large family or group wanting to explore the area attractions.
Thanks, Kathleen! Really enjoyed your group! That fireplace turned out to be beyond my pay grade, but it's all fixed now for your next visit!
