Close to everything, great host

An easy walk to the underground & groceries. A great little pub & bookstore steps away, and a fantastic manager. Stop looking and book it

Great location near Notting Hill.

Overall, this flat was fine for our family visit to London. It was nice and clean, and everything worked fine. Our arrival instructions were clear and comprehensive, and the building is very close to Notting Hill tube station, which is very convenient. The neighborhood is nice, with restaurants, grocery, and pharmacies within a two block radius. A couple of cautions--Kensington Church Road is busy and noisy, and our apartment was on the street side of the building. With all of the double-paned windows and doors closed, it was fine. But there is no A/C, and the street side faces the afternoon sun so the flat got toasty in the afternoons, which requires opening up the windows, which lets in the noise. As a result, flats facing the rear of the building might be preferable. But overall, we enjoyed our stay and the location is great!

Warm welcome and nice apartment

We stayed in the 5 beds apartment, with 3 children. It is quiet, comfortable, nice location. We usually had dinner at home.

Great Location

Great stay for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers in June, 2011. Although the building and furniture were a little tired, this apartment was a good size with kitchen, bathroom and balcony for a London apartment. the location was excellent, being across the road from Notting Hill Gate Underground and numerous buses at the door. Easy walk to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. Many shops, supermarkets and restaurants literally across the road. A great pub downstairs. The owner was very helpful in organising keys, etc as we arrived on a Sunday. Would highly recommend this apartment as we've stayed in London before and this location and size of the apartment was the best by far.

Notting Hill Gate is in the West of Central London in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

This is a lovely part of London with parks, shops, smart restaurants, Portobello Road market, Kensington Palace and a lively atmosphere. Transport links are excellent with tubes and buses to all parts of London.

Other Activities: Rowing on the lake in Kensington Gardens in summer.
