About Greg Barber
We live in the SF Bay Area in East Contra Costa County. We are my wife and I and our Senior in High School daughter. We like to adventure/explore on the weekends to different places in the Bay Area. We also like to travel and visit family throughout the country.
Greg Barber purchased this Cabin in 2006
Why Greg Barber chose Mariposa
We thought it's location and rustic look would be good for the soul for us and for our guests.
What makes this Cabin unique
Small little item to mention, but it has a hammock swing hung between 2 trees in the front of the property and has a seasonal creek in the front of the property. Some years, depending on the rainfall, it has some water trickling through year round. Also, it has an awsome, rustic deck with fabulous nature views and has seating for your outdoor dining or just relaxing (it has lighting for evening enjoyment as well)..

Well furnished kitchen, decent size house. Could stand to be updated but overall decent place. It is quite a hike to Yosemite National Park.
We enjoyed our stay at the Pinebrook cabin. Greg’s place was well stocked with all the essentials and more. Greg was quick to respond to any queries and offered some great tips. The neighborhood is quiet. A little more than an hour to Yosemite and about 25 mins to a close by town.
wonderful owner + great property = perfect Yosemite vacation
This was a great cabin to stay at. The owner immediately responded to my emails, answering questions and helping me adjust my schedule. He did all of this in a very friendly way which I appreciated! In the house you will find everything you would have at your own home, which will make your vacation as carefree as possible. And the gift of a little bird figurine to welcome us along with a bag of candy was over the top. I highly recommend this property but most especially the owner!
Enjoyed our short stay, and the treasure hunt was fun as well. Will be coming back in the future.
Long weekend in Yosemite
I looked at several options to accommodate my family of four during a long weekend in Yosemite, and Pinebrook offered exactly what we needed and exceeded every expectation. The cabin was cozy but gave each of us plenty of space. The kitchen was stocked and roomy enough for my wife and I to cook our meals together. The games and on-demand options satisfied the kids during our downtimes. And the drives to and from Yosemite took us through some stunning areas. Overall we thought this cabin was a tremendous find!
Great getaway not far from Yosemite
This was a great house where we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Greg and Julie have thought of all the things you might need in a cabin and were great hosts. The cabin was ready for us (except the heat being on) and they gave us great directions. The cabin was easy to find and access. They had games, toys, and movies for entertainment (kids and adults), as well as internet and basic TV. We got to enjoy a fire, and it was about an hour from Yosemite National Park. It has a very comfy, homey feel and is great for a few night stay. We would definitely go back again!
