About the property

2 bedroom/2 full bath ocean condo with unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico!

Recently remodeled and updated 2 bed/2 full bath condo, located directly on the Seawall on the 10th floor. Completely unobstructed view of the ocean, the building has a 24 hour concierge on site, and the building has an elevator. Onsite amenities include onsite community laundry, tennis court, onsite pool, security, trash, water and sewer. Modern kitchen has been completely redone with new, stainless steel appliances, and new cabinetry. Kitchen comes fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and basic cooking utensils.

The condo will sleep 6, each bedroom has a queensize bed, and there is a queensize sofa bed in the living area. Bedroom 1 has a private full bath, inside the bedroom. Bedroom 2 has an oceanview, with a closet with a sliding door, and the bathroom is located just outside the door of the bedroom, and can be shared with guests who are using the sofabed.

I am Andrea Rice, a native Houstonian, and delighted to have the opportunity to host you and your family/friends, to our beautiful condo.

I started this small vacation rental business in 2014, and it has surpassed all my expectations, so I decided to expand by purchasing a second unit at By the Sea! I hope that You will consider either one of my condos for your next vacation or visit to Galveston!

  • This unit has 2 full size bathrooms, both with bath tubs that have been newly remodeled with granite counter tops and new cabinets. Bathrooms have new, beautiful mozaic tiled mirrors above the sink area, giving both bathrooms a beautiful, designer touch.

Bedroom 2 is the master bedroom with a queen size bed and large walk-in closet and private, full bathroom, located inside the bedroom. Master bedroom does not have an ocean view.

Older Property, Great View

We had a wonderful stay at By The Sea. They had signs around apologizing for their "winter work." They were fixing the elevator, planting flowers and making it Spring/Summer ready. We loved our view. We loved our stay. Andrea was very responsive to all communication, and the small issue we had, she made sure to let us know it would be addressed immediately. We hope to be back some day.

Fantastic views and fabulous condo!

We reserved this condo for three nights in the middle of August 2017 to visit the beach. We loved the view of the ocean through the sliding glass doors. We stayed at a similar condo last year in the same complex, but on the third floor. With this condo on the 10th floor, the traffic noise was much quieter. The unit itself is as advertised---updated fixtures with a full-size fridge, smooth-top stove, dishwasher and wi-fi. Everything worked just fine. My daughter loved having her own bedroom and bathroom to herself while me and my wife used the "master" bedroom and bath. Being across from the beach was a huge convenience, but I'd be very very careful crossing the street. I recommend walking to the nearest light or driving to the seawall. The condo is close to grocery stores and restaurants along Seawall Blvd., which is another plus. I really think we got an excellent value for the price we paid and I highly recommend this place!

Perfect beach condo

Parking permit needed, however the back parking lot is fenced in at night so it's work it so you can leave your beach stuff in the back of your truck. Condo is very nice. Had everything we needed. Great view and great location.

LOVED IT

The only down fall was slow elevators other than that the staff at the Condo where AWESOME. The condo was nice and was stocked with almost everything that would be needed. We will definitely go back in the future.

Great Location and Great View

The building of "By the Sea" offered a great location with a great view. Although the building is a bit dated, the condo itself was very nice. It offered everything we needed for a great stay and was right across from the beach. The owners we very accommodating through the entire process as well. The only thing we would have changed about our visit was the weather!

"By the Sea" condominiums are located directly on the Galveston Seawall, directly across the street from Seawall Beach, walking distance to great restaurants, fast food, discount shopping, bike rentals, and numerous activities and attractions. Please make sure and check out our other 5 star condo, located just next door, at The Dawn, on the 3rd floor, with beautiful designer furnishings, totally remodeled, and has a fabulous unobstructed view to the ocean. The property ID is 651481. Also, please check back with us in a couple of weeks, as we are adding a gorgeous 1 bedroom unit, directly on the beach, and it's been totally renovated and newly furnished.

Cleaning Fee $80
Damage Deposit $75

The $75.00 damage deposit will be refunded within 7 days after departure, once the cleaning crew confirms no damage or missing items to the unit. Also, the new $15.00 parking permit was approved by the building HOA with very limited advance notice, and we apologize for this new fee, but we property owners apologize in advance for the inconvenience.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
