So Perfect

  • 5 of 5

We were in the Kalispell / Whitefish area for both business & pleasure. The house was beautifully appointed with everything one could need, even a first aid kit when we needed a band aid. The kitchen had everything you would want to make your meals. The views were impeccable and made the early evening the PLACE to be. We were centrally located so no more the a short drive to Whitefish or Kalispell, perfectly placed in between for easy access to many places to eat, drink & be merry. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to enjoy the Glacier, Whitefish, work in Kalispell, golf, fishing or hiking.

The home is warm & relaxing with stellar views and very centrally located to EVERYTHING. I love that you can leave the house & go in any direction to arrive at a wide array of choice places. Below are a few key places (but not limited to) in the area that are 5 to 45 minutes away from the house via easy access to Hwy 93 or Whitefish Stage Road.

Whitefish - 10 minute drive. Whitefish is the quintessential mountain town, sitting on the shores of pristine Whitefish Lake and at the southern toe of the Whitefish Mountain Range. The rolling farmlands of Flathead Valley, framed by mountain ranges on all sides, give way to Whitefish's quaint tree lined streets with personable homes and an 'old west style' downtown area complete with facaded storefronts.

Glacier National Park - 35 to 45 minute drive depending on traffic. Known to many as the "Crown of the Continent," Glacier National Park encompasses over 1,000,000 acres of forests, alpine meadows, rivers and lakes. Glacier's jagged mountain horns & visually spectacular peaks soar upwards of 10,000 feet as they form the Continental Divide.

Bigfork - 25 minute drive, a renaissance town, an eclectic mixture of old and new, and home to a variety of art, music and theatre. Located on the Northeast shore of Flathead Lake, Bigfork has a western style downtown area that is jam packed with galleries, excellent restaurants and unique taverns.

Flathead Lake - 20 minute drive, one of the most dramatically framed bodies of water imaginable. Its basin carved by glaciers over 10,000 years ago, Flathead Lake is over 28 miles long and five miles wide, and holds the title of the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi River.

Big Mountain Ski Resort - 20 minute drive, located just 60 miles south of the Canadian border, Big Mountain caters to skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels. Famous for its snow ghosts, uncrowded slopes, abundant snowfall and unsurpassed views, Big Mountain is among the 10 largest ski resorts in the U.S. offering over 3,000 skiable acres, 85 marked runs and eleven lifts.
