Great newly remodeled house with a back porch overlooking a creek

Visit Asheville: 'Paris of the South'

Spacious 2800 square feet eclectic five bedroom family home in a great neighborhood only 1.5 miles from town. Space for 12 to 13 guests.Great remodeled kitchen with eclectic pottery and dishes from the area with granite counter tops stocked with a complementary bottle of wine from the Biltmore Estate, cream and bottled water. Asheville has been named 'Beer City USA' and we also stock a six pack of local micro brews. Start or end your day with an awesome hot coffee or tea provided as well.

Only a few minutes from great local award winning restaurants and music! Just 3 miles from the Biltmore House as well. Many people just drive and park for the day or evening in a parking garage for $5 to $10 and walk all around. Also, some take a taxi for a few bucks and do the same. You can walk to downtown from the home in about 20 minutes. There is space for 4 cars.

Space for 12 to 13 guests.-Entire home is decorated with original art books, plants and unique furnishings. There is a 52" inch flat screen and full cable with 100's of channels.

Leather furniture with a fold out high end king sofa. Living room open to the kitchen with granite counter tops and new appliances. Dining table for 10.

There is master suite king bed with in-suite tile bathroom downstairs.

There are 2 more bedrooms downstairs. One with a bunk bed- double on the bottom and twin up top. The other large bedroom has a queen bed. This area has another full bath downstairs.

There is another full remodeled bath as well upstairs with 2 more bedrooms with king and queen beds and a large wireless connection computer sitting area in between. Extra twin bed and baby crib/playpen can be provided.

All of the beds are pillow top and have high thread count linens and lots of pillows for a comfortable, laid-back experience! Candles, live plants, natural soaps available for you to wind down after a great day of sightseeing, hiking, biking or enjoying downtown Asheville. There is a private porch off the back of the house over looking a private yard across a bridge. There is a laundry with high end washer and dryer.

There is house wide high speed WiFi for your own devices. It is stocked with current publications from Asheville and the surrounding area with many arts, food and craft selections for your enjoyment.

--We are available in the area by phone or in person if any assistance is needed. We have lived in the area all of our life. We run and own a raw vegan sugar-free chocolate whole business several miles away. A free selection of our gourmet chocolate is included! I am also a nurse and also have owned a home care services business in the area for many years so we are available for services you might need such as child,elderly or pet sitting, cleaning, laundry or transportation for a additional fee.

What makes this house unique

Our family has loved this property for many years as it is a great getaway for enjoying the Asheville area and the Blue Ridge mountains but is a private haven to enjoy family and friends when you all are taking a break together with the great back porch and and bold creek and play area. It is so large so there is lots of common space and private spaces for a large group.

The house is well kept and the furnishings are nice. I would stay here again, particularly given the availability of UBER to safely and inexpensively get around the Asheville area after a night of having fun. To say the house is 1 mile from downtown is not accurate unless the concept of what is considered downtown Asheville is much broader than what most people think of when they refer to downtown Asheville. Google maps shows it as no less than 3.3 miles. Definitely a drive, not a walk particularly when nothing close to pedestrian friendly roads to downtown. Since the house is in the east part of town, it has good access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Overall, very satisfied with the stay. The owner was great, communicated promptly, and gave great restaurant tips.

great property on east side of town for a large group

This property was perfect for a large family weekend wedding. A couple things could be improved and i shared with owner. But overall it is easy to get to and close to highway. If you do bring a pet (we considered it), the yard is not completely closed in. I would definitely book this house again, if i needed it!

This property should be rated as EXTREMELY POOR, and it was not up standards we have experienced from VRBO in the past. The house was in an abominable condition upon our arrival. All the carpets were dirty and spotted. All HVAC vents needed cleaning. There was trash behind beds in bedrooms. The refrigerator water filter needed replacing. The rear porch had to be cleaned before using. The upstairs bath did not have wash cloths and there was no shower soap in any bathroom. This situation was disappointing to us and has created reluctance to use VRBO in the future.

Owner's Response: What a sad review. It is interesting that all of the other reviews on this house are 5 stars over the last year. I was never informed of any problems during this stay. We have had VRBO's in 5 properties for over 5 yrs all with 5 star reviews. Sorry the property did not meet your standards.

Great Service! Great House! Great Location!

Four generations (age 4-90) of our family were in Asheville for a wedding at the Grove Park Inn. Staying in this home was perfect because there was plenty of space for us to visit. Chocolates (made by Kathy's company and sold in Whole Foods), coffee, and a bottle of wine awaited us.

The house was clean and just as described. The master (king) with its own bathroom and two other bedrooms (queen + double/single bunk) that shared a hall bath were downstairs. Upstairs were two very large bedrooms (1 King and 1 Queen) as well as one bath and a huge hallway/bonus room between the two. There was plenty of floor space upstairs for blowup mattresses. One in our party even put a twin mattress in the hallway closet to make her own little "bedroom!" It is a great floor plan!

Kathy was very responsive. We couldn't find a blender in the house and before we knew it, she arrived with a brand new blender! That's customer service. My mother also forgot her toiletries in the house and she had them mailed to her.

The back porch overlooking the stream was very nice and the kitchen was well stocked. There was a washer and dryer, iron, hair dryer (in master bath... may have been more elsewhere but I didn't look), and a gas grill outside. Kathy has thought of everything you might need.

I had read that there wasn't enough seating in the living room so we brought fold-up tailgating chairs but we didn't need them! There was definitely enough seating.

The location was so convenient to downtown, shopping (loved Trader Joe's), restaurants, and the interstate. We could get to the Grove Park Inn in 10 minutes.

I would recommend this home to anyone and would love to return one day.
