Another wonderful stay in Grand Lake. Love this property.

  • 5 of 5

This was our third year staying at this beautiful, quaint property. The location is perfect, quiet and the neighbors are great. Our favorite part is the back patio and the fire pit. That is where we spend most of our evenings.

We will be looking forward to staying here again next year!!

An amazing getaway....

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Niblack's the week after the 4th and we could not have been happier with our choice.

The house has seemingly everything needed for an extended appliances/dishes/gadgets....plenty of linens and towels. There are an assortment of games and puzzles upstairs and downstairs.

I know people say this alot but the pics really don't do it justice. The inside and outside of the house are very nice. I sort of wish the kitchen wasn't so big with that huge island and endless countertop w a killer pantry and top notch appliances because now my wife is wanting the same for our house...HA! The backyard has tables and seating for about 20 people and there is a nice fire pit for the cold nights.

The house does not have a lake view but it really doesn't need one. The mountain views coupled with the stars in the sky and the near complete silence at night make this spot ideal for a getaway. It is a real sleepy little neighborhood with little traffic but when you do see someone they wave and are friendly.

About a quarter mile down the road to the left there is a spot where you can access the Colorado River without crossing someone's property. We cast a few lines and swam...but's cold. But it feels great once used to it...

Last, the overall location is sort of perfect. Basically across from the entrance at the highway there is a marina where you can rent boats or take a guided tour of Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake. Word of advice- rent a boat and cruise Shadow Mountain Lake- it has to be the best lake I've ever visited. In addition, it's only a 2 mile drive into Grand Lake and all it has to offer. Granby is about 15 mins and Winter Park is 45ish mins. Also RMNP entrance is probably an 8 minute drive. Sort of perfect.....

Beautiful home, wonderful memories made

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this great home. The photos do not show the open floor plan & just how spacious this home is with many great spots for the family to gather. At the home our favorite was the large deck/patio/fire pit area. We enjoyed many evenings grilling & sitting by the fire pit. I also enjoyed swinging & playing with the grandkids in the front wooded area. We also enjoyed playing games in the dining area. And the spacious kitchen provided ample room for multiple people doing food prep & cleanup. There is even a child's table for the kids. During our stay we kayaked at Grand Lake, hiked to Adams Falls & Cascade Falls, fished, pontoon boat on Lake Granby, and the alpine slide at Winter Park. We made many wonderful memories!

Wonderful property in the midst of quaint little town of Grand Lake

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and it won't be the last. It's rustic and quaint and very well maintained. It's a great place for the family to gather and has all the comforts of home. We stayed in and cooked and grilled out every night and didn't lack for any supplies. Our family hung out by the fire pit every night but one. The neighbors were welcoming and very friendly. And of course what's not to like about the town? Small and quiet, but plenty of things to do to keep busy if you want (fishing, hiking, swimming - if you can take the cold water -, minutes from Rocky Mtn National Park, walking around town), or just lounge and relax if you prefer. We truly love this property.

This is a luxury mountain cabin! Amazing location, and a beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

We are so very grateful that Mary and Dan are willing to share this "cabin". It is quality and luxury, homey and beautiful! We loved the cleanliness and thoughtfulness that went into every detail. We were so comfortable there and from this cabin we hiked and biked, drove not too far to national park. We saw a moose in the neighborhood, caught rainbow trout in the Colorado river and lakes, hiked a trail that started in Grand Lake and went up 2000 feet, 10.2 miles. We hiked easier trails to waterfalls and spectacular views. Grand Lake is special and Mary and Dan's home made it an over the top vacation.
