Vail Corporation recently acquired Park City Mountain Resort and plans to link the resort with Canyons Resort creating the largest resort in the United States with 7,300 acres of skiable terrain. The combined ski areas will operate under the name “Park City Mountain Resort” and the base area of the Canyons will be known as "Canyons at Park City". A $50 million capital improvement project is underway and will bring the following upgrades for the 2015-16 ski season…

THE INTERCONNECT GONDOLA - An eight-passenger, high-speed gondola running from the base of the existing PCMR Silverlode Lift to the Flatiron Lift at Canyons.

UPGRADE PCMR’S KING CON AND MOTHERLODE LIFTS - King Con will be upgraded to a 6-person high-speed chair and Motherlode to a 4-person high-speed chair… meaning increased lift capacity.

RESTAURANT UPGRADES AT PCMR’S SNOW HUT AND SUMMIT HOUSE AND EXPANSION OF THE RED PINE LODGE AT THE CANYONS - A completely new Snow Hut restaurant at the base of the Silverlode Lift (also home to the new Interconnect Gondola) will offer 500 indoor seats and a top-of-the-line kitchen and culinary experience. Upgrades to Summit House will improve the flow of diners and increase seating. At Canyons, Red Pine Restaurant will be renovated to the tune of 250 additional indoor seats.

SNOWMAKING AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS - The plan rounds out with additional snowmaking on two trails in Canyons’ Iron Mountain area to handle increased skier traffic for Interconnect Gondola access. Vail has also committed an additional $5 million of "catch up" maintenance and upgrades at PCMR.

Sometimes I am amazed that people share special homes like this with strangers. This property is impeccable. We enjoyed this home so very much and can't wait to book it again. It was simply a flawless experience. Highly recommended!!!

Amazing stay

This was the perfect place to call home for a weekend in the mountains. We felt completely taken care of and made ourselves right at home. Great hosts and unbelievably comfortable/luxurious accommodations. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing home for out family of 12 with easy access to the ski resorts!

We spent 6 wonderful days at this beautiful home. Our Christmas family tradition is skiing at Park City. This home offered the best accommodations yet! We had 12 extended family members with both kids and adults. Not once did we feel cramped for space. We cooked everyday. We were able to email our grocery list to the house management team and the shopping was done for us. The kitchen is amazing and made cooking a Christmas dinner easy. The slopes are 8 minutes from the driveway. Will definitely be staying here on future trips to Park City.

We loved this home. Very beautiful, and lots of room. Quiet neighborhood and beautiful views. If we return to Park city this is where we will want to stay. What more could you want? The very minor complaints that we had were that the hot water heater was not turned on when we arrived, could use 2 ply toilet paper, and there were no extra garbage bags there. Thank you for sharing your home!

Owner's Response: Jean, It was certainly our pleasure having you stay with us. Second Time is indeed an exceptional home. Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention. Our pre-inspection report indicated all was well before check-in so the fact that the water heater was off is a mystery. I suspect it was one of those rare occasions when the pilot light somehow went out. The extra trash bags are kept beneath the sink across from the receptacle. We'll make sure that notation is clear in our handbook. Glad you were able to work it out but please know that we encourage our guests to call with any questions or concerns. It's never a bother... our home managers are always available and eager to can make sure your needs are met during your stay. We're looking forward to having you back again soon! Jodi
