This is a linked single story villa, approved to Alojomento Local standards (ref:5372/AL), in the enclosed holiday village of Monte Sao Pedro. It is normally AVAILABLE for RENT from MAY to SEPTEMBER.

The nearest and best swimming facilities are at Boa Vista golf club where the cost is €12 per half day for excellent facilities including pool, sauna, steam room, jaccuzzi and gym.

The villa sleeps four in comfort with a good quality folding bed for a fifth person.

The carport gives direct access to the comfortable lounge/dining room which has patio doors opening onto a terrace at the front. TV is received via internet which gives all the normal UK TV and radio programmes and a selection of other European language channels including Portuguese, German, French etc. As a bonus, there is FREE WIFI and FREE local telephone calls (book your restaurant, taxi etc.) The DVD player allows playing (but not recording) of DVDs and CDs. A selection of DVDs, CDs and books are provided.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker with oven and four ring ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and sufficient cooking utensils for most needs.

Outside there is a large private rear patio with built in barbecue, extra toilet and a loggia providing shade to the outdoor dining area. Barbecue tools are provided.

Apart from guide dogs, we regret that we cannot accomodate pets. This is for the comfort of following guests who may be allergic to pet hairs etc.

Getting about: : Whilst the beach is only about 20 minutes walk along the main road, there are no footpaths and the road is very busy in the main tourist season.

There are bus stops outside the main gate with regular services to Praia da Luz or Lagos.

A Taxi to the beach should cost approx. €4 and to Lagos, approx. €9.

A car is recommended for at least a part of your stay and the owners normally use 'Marina Rentacar' in Lagos. tel 00351282764789.(please mention MSP 27)

Golf:: The nearest golf course is 'Boa Vista' - about five minutes drive in the direction of Lagos with a further option at Parque de Floresta - about 20 minutes drive towards Vila do Bispo and on the junction to the delightful beach at Salema. There is also a traditional 'links' course at Lagos.

Property maintainance: In order to keep the property in good condition, we undertake a cycle of painting, taking about five years to repaint the total inside and outside of the villa.

Recently, redecoration has been carried out in the entrance hall and kitchen (including the cupboards).

The marble floors throughout the villa have been deep cleaned and repolished to bring them back to their original state.

For the 2013 season, a new double glazed patio door and a new, electrically operated blind, have been fitted at the front and the bathroom has been refurbished with a new toilet and walk-in shower.

About Malcolm Davies

I worked in the steel industry for the whole of my Working life until I finally retired at the age of 70. My wife and I bought 'Casa Seivad' In 2006 and we celebrated our Golden Wedding in2012. During the time we have owned the villa, we have made improvements every year. We holiday in Portugal at least twice each year but we are happy to let the villa to others who will look after it during the summer.

                                                              Ideal place for a week's relaxation for my wife and I, although there is room for four people. Clean, well equipped and in a quiet location with easy access (by car) to Luz and Lagos. We very much enjoyed our stay, it was just what we needed. Many thanks.

                                                              A Villa with Portuguese feel

                                                              We could not ask for more: a lovely well maintained villa in a quiet quarter. Everything was as described and communication with the landlord was excellent. Casa Seivad is located within reasonable distance from breathtaking Costa Vicentina, also local Festa in Luz is the event not to miss. Big thank you to Malcolm (and Karen).

                                                              Perfect 2 bedroom villa

                                                              The Villa is perfectly situated. Luz has plenty to do and see its a beautiful part of the Algarve coastline. Lagos is 5 minute drive away and again so much to do or see. In the morning the sun rises at the front of the villa allowing you to relax on the front decking with your coffee. At the rear is plenty of space for outside dinning and a great BBQ. Plenty of privacy and a quiet location. The villa has its own wifi and UK TV so no missing your favourite shows while your topping up your tan. Off road parking with car port which means your car stays cool on the hot days. The villa is perfect for a family of 4 or just the 2 of you. We spent a week here would definitely stay again.

                                                              Very nice and calm place. Very likeable owner. Well furnished (but too little pan).

                                                              (Text) location description is accurate, but I focused on the plan. The location is not correctly indicated: Correct location would be: 37° 5'56.45"N; 8°42'58.67"W.

                                                              You need a car to move around. I personally do not own one, so on holiday I usually rent one: Good to reach the incredible Costa Vicentina with very wild beaches and high waves!

                                                              I would like to come again! Good value. Recommended.

                                                              Amazing accommodation in Praia de Luz

                                                              From booking to leaving the villa we had excellent advice and information from the owner. The local representative made us extremely welcome on arrival making sure we knew where everything was and how things worked. The villa was spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need to make our stay a home from home. Self catering was so easy, not only was there a full size fridge/freezer but there was an excellent oven, a large BBQ and even a dishwasher. With an excellent choice of supermarkets and shops not to mention all the restaurants and bars there was no difficulty in finding good food locally. With over 20 beautiful beaches within a 30 minute drive, this makes it an ideal location for a family holiday. Having the added luxuries of English TV, DVD player, Free WiFi and a washing machine, it makes this villa the best we have stayed in throughout Europe. We will definitely be staying here again.

                                                              Monte sao Pedro is in a valley leading down to the Atlantic Ocean at the golden sandy beach of Praia da Luz approximately 2km away. Praia da Luz is in the Western Algarve, an area of unspoilt villages and open countryside. Thankfully, the original name of ‘Praia de Igreja da Nossa Senhora da Luz’ (Beach of the Church of Our Lady of Light) has been shortened to Praia da Luz or just Luz (pronounced (Looze or Loosh) Behind the beach narrow streets of white painted houses lead to the Church and the village centre. The old and the new blend together encouraging you to relax and feel at home. Praia da Luz was originally a fishing village specialising in Tuna, caught in a long wall of net stretching from the rocks in front of the Fortaleza. Today the fish swim further out to sea and the remaining fishermen work from the harbour at nearby Lagos. Luz is renowned for its safe sandy beach which is an important part of a holiday for many holidaymakers.
