The Neighbourhood

What we love most about our community is that the village is our neighborhood. We have it all at our doorstep! The beach, the village, and the forest trails. The Gumboot Cafe is famous for it's character, yummy food and charismatic people.

The public bus stop is a 1 minute walk away. The bus will bring you to and from the ferry, or, you can hop on the bus and travel north to Sechelt.

Other Things to Note

Cozy and Ccomfy in every way

Thanks for thinking of everything we could possibly need. Loved the proximity to the village, and the Gum Boot! We'll be back for certain.

Great location, lovely home

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for five days in late October 2017 and had a great time. The cabin was clean, well furnished and fully equipped. We were able to comfortably prepare our own meals and the bed was comfortable. The location is perfect for walks, access to Roberts Creek and driving to other nearby places. We were surrounded by trees and enjoyed the quiet, private location. We were able to watch favourite shows on Netflix and the wifi connection was good. We highly recommend this place - and it clearly has room for additional family members or friends. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in both cabins and loved them!

  • 5 of 5

We definitely reccommend Heather and her husband: such great hosts! We were at the Heart of the Creek twice this summer and was such a delight each time.

What we loved:

We loved the secluded layout of the cabins, they are very cozy inside, the bathroom is better in the left/entrance cabin, the living room in better and more spacious in the central cabin. We loved to sleep in a living room in fact!!! We have a 3 year old toddler and it was great watching the stars through the windowed ceiling. In short: these teo cabins are adorable, with a patio, with all utensils you need in the kitchen, all corners are round shaped - makes it super easy to have a rest with a toddler (!!!). We did BBQ both times, the bbq works perfect.

What we also loved was: the location. Across the road there is a small Roberts Creek village, where you can find organic and non-organic food, drinks, lyquor mini store, there are two restaurants - one casual and another one fancy. We loved the music store nearby, the village has a hippy vibe.

We loved the cat!

What could be improved: maybe only make the bathroom as pretty as the one in the left cabin. Then everything would be perfect for us.

Thanks again for hosting us :) we will definitely come back when in Sunshine Coast!

We've stayed at many VRBO's and each has its charms. This one has them all The setting is private and quiet: a cottage in the woods. Yet it is steps away from a great cafe and a great restaurant. The interior is warm and open with comfortable furniture. The kitchen has everything needed and there is a BBQ and outdoor table for six. A comfortable bed and plenty of space for clothes completes the picture. Laundry facilities make a longer stay more convenient.

Heather and Fin were usually on the property so available for any problems, of which there were none. They were welcoming and personable.

We will certainly plan our next annual trip to The Coast so we can stay there again.

Beautiful cottage in a fabulous location. Well thought out amenities

  • 5 of 5

Lovely decks in front and back of the cottage provide peaceful areas in the morning and e evening. The well equipped kitchen and BBQ allow no worry meal preparation which can be enjoyed at spacious dining table or on the patio. If you don't feel like cooking, the always excellent Gumboot Cafe and Restaurant are a 2 minute walk away. Highly recommended.
