PERFECT for a large family

  • 5 of 5

My children and grandchildren and I had our best time ever here this week. We rent every year and we all agreed that this house/place was absolutely the BEST. The lake is lovely, the house is spacious and the area is filled with fun things to do for all ages.

Nice Place

  • 4 of 5

This place was perfect for our family! The huge lawn provided plenty of room for our 6 grandchildren to run and play and the shallow beach area allowed for hours of worry-free water fun. The sun room and living room provided plenty of space for everyone to spread out on the cold and rainy days and the kitchen provided enough space so that we could all eat together. The children thought it was awesome that it was located next door to the Dairy Queen and it was a short walk to the well-stocked convenience store for ice and other things we needed. The air flow through the house was good so not having air conditioning was not a problem. The beds were a little too soft for our taste but that would not keep us from coming back. The fishing was slow the week we were there but we caught enough for a fish fry. The only negative comment we have is that the house wasn't the cleanest in some areas. There were dead bugs in some of the cupboards and the children found cheese balls and candy wrappers under two of the beds and a box of Pop-Its behind the sofa.

Anniversary Celebration

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I celebrated our 45th anniversary at the DeLaeter House with our three kids, two sons-in-law, and four grandsons. We had a wonderful week! The house had enough bedrooms for all of us and plenty of space to spread out. No one minded being in the kitchen because the view of the lake is so beautiful. We especially enjoyed the fire pit, the public beach right next door, and the Dairy Queen right behind the house was a HUGE hit with the grandkids. The weather was a little cool while we were there, so we didn't miss having air conditioning, but we noticed plenty of fans we could have used if we needed them. All in all, we had a great week and we created lots of happy memories for our family.

The perfect for our family vacation

  • 5 of 5

We just spent a week (early June) at the lake house with out 3 kids (all under 5yrs) and extended family. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the property. The lake access and views were just as expected, and proximity to town made for a very easy week.

Communication with the owner and rental process was very easy and straight forward.

We would love to return one day!
