Petite but cozy
We enjoyed our stay here. This apartment is close to everything, sights and transportation! Thanks Beatrice for all the help you offered.
Clean and quiet in a perfect location!
I loved staying at this Sorbonne studio. Béatrice is a wonderful host. She emailed me very helpful directions for local transportation from the airport, which included some great tips on exploring Paris. The studio is clean and quiet, and I felt safe there. Its location is outstanding -- central to everything. Very close to supermarket, shopping, and metro. I would definitely stay here again!
Highly Recommend This Place. Perfect Location!
The owner & host Beatrice was very kind and provides you excellent tips and information for your stay. She meets you at the rental and goes over everything. She kindly checked in on us made sure we were doing well and even made the trek back again to let us into the rental after we locked ourselves out. She was gracious and kind and didn’t get upset. Note: make sure to check you have the Keys with you prior to closing the apartment door. Our place was great and we really enjoyed it.
Everything you need is in the little studio apartment. Accurate photos. Washer/dryer combo works great. It has two USB outlets and plenty of power strip plugs. I think there are 40+ steps to up to the apartment and a tiny one person elevator if needed. Perfect location. Walking distance to most everything. Perhaps most important is that the pull-out bed was VERY COMFORTABLE.
We cannot thank Beatrice enough for her hospitality and would highly recommend this place.
Some TIPS that will make your stay easier:
Taxi Cab to/from the CDG airport to the apartment will cost a FLAT RATE of around 50-55 euro. RER Train works fine but you will have to carry your bags a long distance from the arrival concourse and again from Notre-Dame to the apartment. Plus you will get starred at by the daily commuters who have to stand because your luggage is taking up seating.
No need to bring foreign currency with you just use ATMs for spot rate withdrawals and no ATM bank fees.
If you are an early bird be warned that nothing is open before 7:30 am and some cafes (Le Balzar) do not want 50 euro notes first thing in the morning.
If you plan on using the metro a lot then buy a Navigo Metro pass and make it easy on yourself.
The metro stop at Sacré-Cœur has about 200 stairs up just to get out of the station to street level and about 700 stairs total to climb to Sacré-Cœur itself… there is a tram and the Navigo works on it.
If taking the metro to Versailles be warned that Google will tell you to take a Train N that simply doesn’t exist at Gare Montparnasse and you won’t find it listed on the departure boards.
All our TGV trains all had departure delays and/or mechanical issues. The first-class TGV cars were a bit worn and no different than the normal cars. Nothing like Japanese Shinkansen trains. Still a pretty effortless way to travel.
Avoid the tourist trap Rickshaw motorized bicycles, they charge outrageous fees for the distances travelled and those listed rates are per person!
Small studio, big fun in Paris!
This charming apartment was well suited to our one week stay in Paris. Located on a side street by the Sorbonne, it was quiet and convenient to many attractions in the Latin Quarter and just a few blocks from the Seine and Norte Dame. Shops, groceries, and cafes are nearby, and Beatrice the owner gave us advice and recommendations ahead of time, and also when she met with us upon our arrival.
The sofa bed was comfortable for sleeping, and the kitchen area contained everything needed for making small meals.. The bathroom is tiny; a larger person might not be comfortable trying to use the shower..If you can adapt to the small space, you wii be very happy staying here. We would definitely recommend it.
A wonderful location and comfortable studio.
I was taking a one month course in Paris. I enjoyed how close I was to the local produce, butcher and other stores. The Luxembourg Gardens were very near. Place Contrascarpe was also a close walk. I had no trouble getting to anywhere I needed to go from here.
Beatrice was a wonderful hostess. The apartment is well furnished and comfortable. She had provided me with start up supplies for the place which was very helpful. Her explanation of the appliances was very good as some were new to me. This is a good choice for a stay in one of my favorite parts of Paris.
It was just as advertised, perfect location and very quiet.
Beatrice was a wonderful host and a great communicator. The apartment had everything and was very comfortable! We had a great time in Paris.
Many restaurants and cafés, the famous Café de Flore, Les Deux Magots, Brasserie Lipp, le Procope, and also cinemas, theatre, jazz clubs in the area.
