About Weston Noyes

Amy and Weston Noyes have ten years of experience renovating homes and managing property. Our goal is to provide our visitors with a comfortable, elegant, and clean space for their work-stay or vacation. We offer every guest clear communication, clean accommodations, an eye for detail, and responsiveness to your needs and inquiries.

Weston Noyes purchased this apartment in 2004

Why Weston Noyes chose Salt Lake City

We purchased this home as our primary residence in 2004 and spent many years of personal effort renovating it with our own hands. From living here, we know what a treasure the Marmalade neighborhood is and we are very happy to be able to offer our guests this relaxing and beautiful space, in our charming neighborhood, with incredible access to all of downtown Salt Lake City.

What makes this apartment unique

We have renovated all three units at 319 Almond Street ourselves. No surface, inside or out, was left unimproved, and hopefully the results of this deep remodel speak for themselves. You'll be able to enjoy your evenings relaxing on the deck or cooking dinner with your family or friends in open plan kitchen/dining/living room. Inside you'll find plenty of room for up to four people to sleep comfortably, while accommodating up to six people at the dinner table.

With such close proximity to downtown Salt Lake City, no location is better suited for conveniently exploring all that this great city has to offer. From this safe and quiet street in the charming Marmalade Hill neighborhood, all the greatest neighborhoods, restaurants, activities and attractions along the Wasatch Front are within your reach.

Comfortable and well appointed garden apartment. It is located in a charming neighborhood within walking distance of the capital and downtown. We definitely recommend the apartment and would stay there again.

Clean, Cute, Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

My 2 adult sisters along with my mom & I stayed in this apartment for a weekend and really enjoyed our stay. Entrance to the apartment was simple and locking it up each day was easy. The apartment is considered the basement of a 2 story apartment, so we could hear our upstairs neighbors occasionally, when they walked around. The parking was convenient and easy to find in the alleyway to the side of the apartment. There was easy access to downtown SLC as well as the University of Utah, the Capitol, and freeways to head any direction. We often walked to our destinations as the apartment was only a couple of blocks from some of the sites we wanted to experience.

The bed was very comfortable while the roll out bed in the couch wasn't too bad either, surprisingly. We found plenty of pillows and blankets in the closet should we have needed them.

The bathroom was so clean and large and the shower head was awesome! We were all impressed with the thickness & size of the towels too. There were plenty of wash cloths, hand soap, and shampoo as well as a blow dryer. It really had everything we needed.

There's a small washer and dryer in the bathroom but we didn't use it while we were there. We didn't end up using the kitchen either, but there were plenty of pots and pans, dishes, etc should we have wanted to.

The apartment has 2 window AC units which were rather loud. But we found 2 fans and opted to use those each night over the AC units. We slept very soundly & comfortably with those fans compared to the first night when we used the AC units.

The only concern we had was the bathroom sink. It did not drain quickly at all, but we made do.

salt lake city

  • 5 of 5

I had a great stay in Salt Lake City. The apartment was conveniently located close to the downtown area. I was attending a conference at the convention center. The neighborhood is quiet and very quaint. I wished I had more time to walk around the neighborhood and explore. The instructions to find the apartment were easy to follow. The apartment was clean and the bed very comfortable.

Weston was great about answering any questions and keeping in touch.

I would highly recommend this place for anyone that needs to stay near the downtown area but doesn't want to be in the hustle and bustle of the city.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here. The place is located about a 5 minute walk to the Capitol and 10 minute walk to the Temple and downtown area. It is only a couple minutes from interstate 15 so access to most locations is simple. It is a quiet, clean, and comfortable garden apartment with plenty of room for 2 people. There is a parking spot included but it is a tight fit. Overall we were very pleased and we will try to stay here if we visit Salt Lake again.

Quaint, clean and beautifully renovated and decorated. Excellent use of small space

  • 4 of 5

My daughter and I spent 4 nights here for spring break. It was clean, comfortable and relaxing. Great location and amenities. Super comfortable bed and pillows, great shower. We would have given it 5 stars if there was a full length mirror and the upstairs tenants were quieter. Not sure if the floor/ceiling is thin or they were just very heavy footed. Lots of stomping around. Perhaps that's the downside to a garden level unit. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and I would definitely recommend this property.

Owner's Response: Hi Cheryl, We are glad you enjoyed your stay overall and are sorry we couldn't earn your five star review. We think a full-length mirror is a great idea and one that we will be adding to our list of near-future upgrades. For future guests who may be concerned about the possibility of noise coming from upstairs, it's important to understand that while noise from upstairs is a rare issue, when it arises we are always available and very responsive to these concerns. We take noise very seriously. As owners who take pride in managing our rental well, it can be frustrating to only hear in a review complaints about things we could have easily fixed or addressed during guest's stay if they told us at the time. Please let us know what you need! You've paid for your stay and we're here to help! For all our guests, upstairs and down, we encourage awareness and respect for others in the building, yet we don't have total control over how people use their voices or footsteps. Most of our guests renting upstairs are quiet and respectful, and the multiple layers of sound insulation we added between floors during renovations are quite effective. On the rare occasions that a guest upstairs makes their presence known too much downstairs, it is quick and easy for us to correct the source of the disturbance. When this last happened last year the response from upstairs was a sincere apology, appreciation for the reminder, and a quick end to the overly-boisterous activity. The gregarious upstairs guests even left a bottle of wine for the garden unit guests to say sorry! For our part we will continue to remind all our guests about the importance of minimizing loud noise during their stay, and actively encourage all our guests to communicate with us directly any issues that may arise so we can address them immediately rather than have to respond to a less than stellar review after the fact.

Car: recommended

Our home is located near the heart of Salt Lake City, within easy walking distance of all downtown locations with fast and easy Interstate access to many major destinations along the Wasatch Front. Almond street is a quiet, charming street in the Marmalade Hill neighborhood. Known for its historic homes and hillside sunset views of the Great Salt Lake, the Marmalade neighborhood derives its name from the orchards which eventually gave way to meandering streets still lined with fruit trees, perfect for an evening stroll.

Our house is located just two city blocks north of Temple Square, three blocks west of the Utah State Capitol building, and six blocks from the Salt Lake Convention center. Also, within walking distance are the LDS Conference Center, the LDS geneology library, the City Creek Center Mall, the Utah Jazz Arena, the Ensign Point city overlook and the Memory Grove/City Creek Canyon walking/hiking/biking trails. Dozens of exceptional restaurants, cafe's, bars, entertainment venues, shops, public transportation, parks, all lay just outside your doorstep.
