Texana Springs - Near Camps - Exclusive river access

Bedrooms 3
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

Sleeps 8, 2 bathrooms

Located at the headwaters of Bear Creek, this spectacular property is a hidden gem of the Texas Hill Country. Come out to Texana Springs Ranch with your family and friends to enjoy the serenity of everything this property has to offer. The beautiful, spring fed water is the perfect place to swim, canoe, or fish.

Just a short drive down the hill from the house, you will find the beautiful Texana Springs. Our fresh flowing river has been stocked with Large Mouth Bass and Rainbow Trout for catch-release fishermen. We also have kayaks, a canoe, and a paddleboat for vacationers to enjoy. Kids can catch minnows in the water and look for the occasional baby catfish to swoop into their nets! Right next to the river you will find a patio with a huge oak shading you from the hot summer days. Take swim breaks to sit on the patio and munch on a picnic lunch or tan under that great Texas sun.

Birdwatchers come out and spot Painted Buntings, Wood Ducks, an occasional Bald Eagle in winter months, and so many more beautiful species.

Enjoy grilling outside in the evening on the patio with your choice of gas or charcoal. You can even cook on the campfire!! Build a fire in the fire pit with logs provided for you in the backyard and toast s’mores while telling stories. At dusk take walks on the ranch roads and look around as all of the wildlife starts to make its appearances. Spot baby raccoons climbing from trees, bats in the night sky, or lightning bugs twinkling in and out of the darkness. We also have a variety of exotic game like Rio Grande Turkey, Whitetail, Fallow, Blackbuck Antelope and Axis Deer that can often be spotted around the ranch.

When night has finally come, step right outside of your back door, lay out on the hammock and talk while looking at the same stars the Native Americans looked at from the very spot hundreds of years ago. Stargazing at the ranch is beautiful… and photographers, be sure to snap some long exposures!

We offer high speed Wi-Fi and Dish Network.

Bring your favorite ingredients and enjoy cooking in our fully equipped kitchen. The house has two refrigerators, an oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and dishwasher. We also provide fresh linens, towels, toilet paper, and a washer/dryer!

The house has three bedrooms and two full baths. The master bedroom has a king bed and bathroom with a full bathtub. The second room has a queen bed along with a twin bed. The last room has three twin beds. All of the rooms have at least one closet. The living room has three luxuriously comfortable couches, a dining table, bar area (separating kitchen and living room) and a fireplace for staying cozy on cold days.

If you want to get away and have some quiet time in the beautiful Texas Hill Country this is the place. Clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Ranch hands were courteous and helpful. We had a great time here and may go back.

What a great find!

This is a wonderful property! We were looking for a place to just gather for the weekend and relax and it fit the bill. We brought in all our food and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. If you are cooking you might want to bring containers or plastic bags for any leftovers. We spent the day at Texana Springs and it was so relaxing. It was nice that there was a table down there so we could pack sandwiches for a picnic. There are kayaks and a paddle boat which were very fun and we also brought our own inter-tubes. No glass bottles at the Springs so remember to bring your drinks in cans or plastic only. The fire pit on the back porch at the house was so nice in the evening after the sun went down. I did not think we would have used it in early September but there is such a nice breeze on top of the hill where the house is it was a little cool. The whole family agreed this one is a keeper and we would like to do another family trip here!

The swimming hole was matchless. Thanks.
