Texana Springs - Near Camps - Exclusive river access

Bedrooms 3
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

Sleeps 8, 2 bathrooms

Located at the headwaters of Bear Creek, this spectacular property is a hidden gem of the Texas Hill Country. Come out to Texana Springs Ranch with your family and friends to enjoy the serenity of everything this property has to offer. The beautiful, spring fed water is the perfect place to swim, canoe, or fish.

Just a short drive down the hill from the house, you will find the beautiful Texana Springs. Our fresh flowing river has been stocked with Large Mouth Bass and Rainbow Trout for catch-release fishermen. We also have kayaks, a canoe, and a paddleboat for vacationers to enjoy. Kids can catch minnows in the water and look for the occasional baby catfish to swoop into their nets! Right next to the river you will find a patio with a huge oak shading you from the hot summer days. Take swim breaks to sit on the patio and munch on a picnic lunch or tan under that great Texas sun.

Birdwatchers come out and spot Painted Buntings, Wood Ducks, an occasional Bald Eagle in winter months, and so many more beautiful species.

Enjoy grilling outside in the evening on the patio with your choice of gas or charcoal. You can even cook on the campfire!! Build a fire in the fire pit with logs provided for you in the backyard and toast s’mores while telling stories. At dusk take walks on the ranch roads and look around as all of the wildlife starts to make its appearances. Spot baby raccoons climbing from trees, bats in the night sky, or lightning bugs twinkling in and out of the darkness. We also have a variety of exotic game like Rio Grande Turkey, Whitetail, Fallow, Blackbuck Antelope and Axis Deer that can often be spotted around the ranch.

When night has finally come, step right outside of your back door, lay out on the hammock and talk while looking at the same stars the Native Americans looked at from the very spot hundreds of years ago. Stargazing at the ranch is beautiful… and photographers, be sure to snap some long exposures!

We offer high speed Wi-Fi and Dish Network.

Bring your favorite ingredients and enjoy cooking in our fully equipped kitchen. The house has two refrigerators, an oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and dishwasher. We also provide fresh linens, towels, toilet paper, and a washer/dryer!

The house has three bedrooms and two full baths. The master bedroom has a king bed and bathroom with a full bathtub. The second room has a queen bed along with a twin bed. The last room has three twin beds. All of the rooms have at least one closet. The living room has three luxuriously comfortable couches, a dining table, bar area (separating kitchen and living room) and a fireplace for staying cozy on cold days.

Our second stay here, and it was just as amazing as the first. Love this place, and can't wait to come back next year!

More than expected

  • 5 of 5

I didn't actually stay here, but I rented it for family and friends to stay at due to us not having enough room at our place a few miles away. They where all ecstatic about how beautiful the house and property are and how Paul (The Ranch Manager) was to deal with, Helena the owner is very nice and easy to work with also. Will definitely rent again when needed.

Wonderful family weekend

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Texana Springs! The house was clean and nicely decorated in real Texas style. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and other items needed to cook a good meal. We really loved sitting out on the patio roasting marshmallows over the firepit and just generally enjoying the beautiful view all around the house. And the number of stars in the night sky is incredible!

We swam in the cool springs and loved our hikes on the trail around the property. So much wildlife to see and hear!

Helana and Paul were very nice and helpful and we're hoping we can come back to stay here again soon.

So much more than we expected from the website!

  • 5 of 5

This was an absolutely perfect spot for our family gathering. It is not only a beautiful setting but the house is better stocked than any other place we've rented. Truly, all we had to bring was the food! The well equipped kitchen left nothing wanting, the mattresses and linens are awesome, and the towels plentiful.

The ranch manager was super helpful and nice; always available for questions or concerns.

Our plan is to make this an annual place to gather for our family and friends - maybe more than once a year!

Clean, Clean, Clean! Beautiful Ranch

  • 5 of 5

Let me start by saying, the outside chairs did not have dust on the chair arms. The house inside and out is that clean. The air conditioner is cold and the house is adorably decorated with furniture pieces from different time periods. Though on a ranch, your road in and out is asphalt. The ranch foreman is at your beck and call but gives you plenty of space. The owners pay attention to detail as the grass is cut for miles along the road on both sides, on the grounds by the river dam, and about a half acre around the house. You will see black buck antelope, axis and whitetail deer from your front and back porch. Swimming in the creek is wonderful because the creek is spring fed, making the water very cool to cold in August. Stone/concrete stairs are set up to allow access to the natural swimming pool created by the dam. Our family walked the hike and bike trail and saw more wildlife. We will stay again.
