On the Creek Bed and Breakfast now has a newly built, self-catering cottage, with its own fully equipped kitchenette (two burner induction stove top and Breville Smart oven), fireplace, Wi-Fi and a private screened porch. It is situated in spacious, landscaped grounds sloping towards the river where there is a canoe for guest use to canoe to town. Only a 10 - 12 minute walk to Middlebury College's Bicentennial Hall. 18 minute walk to town. We also have bicycles for guests to use. The cottage can accommodate a family of 4 comfortably with a queen bed on the first floor and 2 singles on the upper level. It is not suitable for very young children just beginning to move about and explore because of the spiral staircase and pull out kitchen drawers.
We live in the main house where we have two rooms which are rented as B&B. We are available to give advice on the area and provide hiking and bicycling maps.

We had a great experience staying at this property. Visiting Middlebury was a wonderful experience due to this perfect house. Clean, warm, comfortable. Also excellent communication with Zelia and Gary!
Great location, by no means cozy or snuggly.
Although very clean and located in a lovely part of Middlebury fronting water and beautiful gardens, the unit itself is terribly austere. We felt the ambiance could have benefited from some upholstered furniture, such as a loveseat or sofa, and some art on the wall. Done in minimalist fashion and not, by any sense of the word, cozy. Hosts were lovely and helpful.
Lovely cottage w access to water
Comfortable minimalist clean IKEA quiet garden cottage. Highly recommend.
The grounds are lovely. Inside the cottage has a sleek, contemporary look with a cozy, comfortable feel... very inviting. Made me wish our activities didn't take us away from it so much. Zelia and Gary couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
charming little cottage in middlebury
Zelia and Gary have built a small but lovely cottage in their spacious garden in Middlebury. We rented it for 2 stretches in the summer of 2017 (two adults, two children). The cottage is very comfortable and it was a great pleasure waking up in the morning and having a coffee on the porch, watching the sun come up over the garden, and occasionally seeing a rabbit or otter. (The end of the garden meets Otter Creek--we were brave enough to try the canoe once.) It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the centre of Middlebury from there. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
New and conveniently located
The cottage is new, has comfortable beds, and is stocked with anything you would need. It is on a very large lot with a beautiful view of gardens and Otter Creek. You can easily drive or walk to Middlebury. The owners were friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them.
