I aim to make your stay trouble-free and enjoyable and without interference. However, if you need assistance there is always someone available 24x7. Your residence is professionally cleaned before your stay.

The Neighborhood

With a short walk to the Stadium Armory Metro station, you’ll find that this is a convenient location. Want a great afternoon out? A short distance from your residence are the many sidewalk cafes and restaurants at Eastern Market, Barracks Row, or along the H-Street Corridor. For a culture fix, head to the Smithsonian American Art Museum (less than 3 miles away) or explore the Newseum, which has seven levels of galleries dedicated to the world’s most fascinating news stories. On the dining front, eavesdrop on the city’s movers and shakers during lunch at the Oval Room and dinner in Georgetown at sceney Cafe Milano, then work it off the next day with a stroll through Lincoln Park in Capitol Hill where you will enjoy free outdoor concerts.

Oh, and don’t forget your golf clubs! Located just minutes from your residence, East Potomac Golf Course is a located at the convergence of Potomac and Anacostia rivers and is part of the National Park System. The year round 18-hole course provides some of Washington's greatest landmarks in the background, most noticeable is the Washington Monument.

Or spend your afternoon rooting for the home team, the Washington Nationals, at their swanky stadium, Nationals Park or simply walk to the nonstop jumping, singing, chanting and flag-waving that happens at DC United games at RFK Stadium.

Join the after work crowd unwinding over briny Virginia oysters and house-made punches at Hank’s Oyster Bar. Finally, skip the crowds and take a nighttime bike tour of the monuments.

Getting around

The location will work both for drivers and for those who intend to explore DC by foot. If you are driving, your residence is just 3 minutes away from I-295 and 5 minutes to I-395, which gives you easy access to I-95. And once you are here, it is right on the Orange and Blue metro lines, making wherever you are going in DC a cinch. Your stay will be a short walk (3 blocks) to the Stadium Armory metro station, (Potomac Ave. and Eastern Market stops are also close). In addition, this location is in walking distance to two Capital Bike Share stations, one ZipCar location, and several bus lines.

The residence comes with one dedicated parking space exclusively for your use and does not need a parking pass. The parking pad is located in the rear of the property.

Want an alternative to using a car to get here? From Reagan International Airport, Amtrak, or the Greyhound bus, catch the metro and walk directly to this location.

No smoking, drugs, parties, events, or pets.

This unit is on the second floor, guests must be able to walk up one flight of stairs to the second floor.

My neighbors are the best! Please be respectful and keep noise down, especially after 10 PM.

About Pete

I've been living in DC for about ten years now and love the cultural exchange the city offers. I have traveled to many different places around the country and love to meet new people. I have always made it priority to make sure my guests are happy with their experiences here. Once I hosted a German family who left the apartment spotless with a bouquet of flowers on the table saying “Vielen Dank!”

I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, horseback riding, the arts, or just spending quiet time at home with family and friends. I also love experiencing the city vicariously through the exciting (and often humorous!) stories of my guests.

Very comfortable and convenient

  • 4 of 5

I rented this condo for a trip to DC with my husband, 15-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter. The condo is very nice inside. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. My daughter slept on the couch and we brought an air mattress for my son. The main living space was roomy and comfortable and the small kitchen was clean and well equipped. The shower was hot with great water pressure. There is a private parking space behind the house steps from the door which was a huge bonus. Most appreciated was the owner's efforts to put together a guidebook detailing recommended attractions, restaurants, etc. There were even 4 refillable Metro cards for our use. It is true that the back stairs were narrow, but my husband and son are both 5'9" with broad shoulders and both of them had no trouble getting up there with luggage in tow. The only reason I did not give this property 5 stars was that the feel of the immediate neighborhood was not as family friendly as I had expected. We did feel comfortable walking to the Metro during the day, but would not have done it at night. The condo itself was very well secured with a locking door at the bottom of the stairs as well as another locking door at the top. Also, there was some "street noise" with people talking loudly outside, etc, at night but this was easily drowned out by a little white noise. We did take advantage of UBER to take us where we wanted to go at night which was very convenient and not expensive. Overall it was a great place for the price and for what we wanted to do, so I am happy with the choice. We had a great time!

Short Walk to Metro

  • 5 of 5

Property was clean, and just as pictured. 6-10 minute walk to Stadium-Armory Metro. Felt safe in the neighborhood. The parking spot was an awesome bonus. And yes the rear entry steps are awkward but doable. Loved our stay.

Pete was a fantastic host.

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this location for three days. The space was beautiful and well maintained. There was yogurt waiting for us in the fridge as well as basic cooking needs (evoo, salt, pepper). The back stairs were a little tight walking up. There were three Metro cards waiting for us, which was super helpful for getting around. Pete was very helpful in returning emails and answering any questions we had. Would definitely recommend.

Great DC Condo

  • 4 of 5

The condo was exceptional. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the access to the unit. Like other reviewers have said, the rear entrance is a narrow steep staircase that is difficult to navigate (and my husband and I are young and healthy), especially if you have bulky luggage. There is a front entrance with a "normal" set of stairs, but you cannot exit the unit that way without leaving the door unlocked. The rear door has the keypad lock, and can be locked from the outside. I would suggest to the owner to install a similar keypad lock on the front door, and this problem would be solved.

Otherwise, the size was just right for the two of us, the unit was impeccable, the bed and sofa were very comfortable, there were metro cards for us to use, some yogurt and creamer in the fridge and coffee for the keurig, we had plenty of towels and toiletries, and the owner was extremely helpful and responsive. We even made use of the provided printer (since I forgot to print our concert tickets before we left town - having a printer in the unit saved us from a headache trying to figure out how to get them printed)! We would stay here again!
