Crested Butte Condo Rental Photos and Description

5 bedroom, 3 bathroom and Big Porch, Freshly Remodeled with Breathtaking Views

This condo has multiple master bedrooms and a great bunk room making it the perfect multi-family or group getaway. Two kings, Two queens and seven twin beds offer plenty of room to spread out while the open concept living, dining and kitchen makes for fun group gatherings. The porch becomes a second gathering place in Spring, Summer and Fall. There is a washer/dryer making long stays a snap!!!!

Having 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms makes this condominium the perfect mountain getaway for a big family or group of friends. Recently completely remodeled, the kitchen and bathrooms feature granite counters and rich wood cabinetry. The kitchen has all new stainless appliances and the bathrooms feature bronze lodge-like hardware and plumbing fixtures. Unlike most units in this complex, ours has a full-sized washer and dryer making - a must for big families.

All but two bedrooms and one bath are downstairs. One of the two bedrooms up is a loft and has a king and a twin bed and the other has a queen and large flat screen TV with DVD so that guests can escape for a quiet moment. The other three bedrooms and two bathrooms are downstairs – two of the bedrooms have breathtaking views of the Washington Gulch valley and the town of Crested Butte – and have a king, queen and three sets of bunks (6 twins) respectively. The bunk room also has a wall mounted flat screen TV hooked up to an Xbox gaming system making it a dream for kids needing time to chill after a big day outside.

With large bedrooms all with lofted, soaring ceilings and the open concept living, kitchen and dining areas, this condo offers both quiet respite and joyful gathering places. The large corner balcony, with breathtaking views of the mountains and valley and comfortable seating and dining table, becomes a second gathering place during Spring skiing season and all Summer and Fall as well.

While this unit is on the 3rd (top) floor, there are no stairs to climb because the building is built into the hillside. The 1st and 2nd floor units require you to climb up or down stairs when coming and going. Other advantages to being on the top floor are: 1. You hear no footfall above you, 2. Lofted ceilings that make the unit feel huge, 3. No dragging groceries, heavy luggage, skis, poles, etc, up and down flights of stairs.

There is plenty of room on a shared balcony at the entry of our unit to store outdoor equipment (bikes, bike trailers, sleds, etc) so you won't crowd the inside of the condo with all of outdoor toys you will want to use here!

Come and stay - you won't want to leave!!

About Michele Luke

My husband and I have been visiting Crested Butte for years - like 30+ years! Each of our families used to bring us here for vacations for years when we were younger, then we ended up finding each other and deciding to get married here. Coming to vacation as a couple and then as parents ourselves has been a wonderful and enriching journey as we continue the family tradition of skiing and summer adventures here.

Michele Luke purchased this condo in 1984

Why Michele Luke chose Crested Butte Area

The San Moritz complex of condominiums were one of the first built so high up on the mountain. Their location is just second to none. It is hard to beat the easy access to the slopes, village and the town of Crested Butte. The views from the balcony are serene and breathtaking at once. The recent exterior remodel has been a major upgrade providing a luxurious mountain lodge feel and offering generous outdoor living with big balconies and high rooflines improving a view I didn't think could be improved.

What makes this condo unique

I can't say enough about the location. It is unparalleled for those who love to ski, bike, hike and just sit and enjoy the view. The condo itself is large enough to handle multiple families but still has a cozy feel for a family of four. We just love it.

Loved it!!

  • 4 of 5

Went over for Thanksgiving week with the whole family 10 of us and there was enough room for all of us and then some! Had beds for everyone to sleep comfortably and then some, the staff was the best. Very nice friendly people. The condo is spacious, the decor is a little outdated but loved the views! Definitely going back and renting it again!

Older but perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

This condo has it all! If you are looking for comfortable place to enjoy a big family! Or simply 3-4 couples with plenty of privacy to have your own space! Access to the trail is a hop from front door down to base of ski resort. Loved this place !! If you want to enjoy an amazing view and walk to base or take shuttle to town it's perfect! It is so clean but older. Updated baths and kitchen. Carpet probably needs an update, but hey you can relax!

Great Condo

  • 5 of 5

Our 4 couples (plus 2 little kiddos and a dog) really enjoyed our stay. Access to the mountain was great and getting into town was just a quick drive. The condo is comfy and inviting. Plenty of room for people to spread out. Love the bunk bed room (would be great for a bunch of kids).

Wonderful Place to Stay if going to Crested Butte

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect place to stay whether summer or winter. Just a short walk to mountain West Wall lift and prefect location for any family looking to relax and have a blast. All the features of home and plenty of room for multiple families to stay. We had 3 families all under the roof and not one complaint! Yeah! The Bunk room was a hit with the kids and the Hot Tub with the adults. You wont be disappointed.

Great Condo!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here over Spring Break and it was a perfect location and plenty of space for 5 adults and 4 kids. The owner was very helpful in recommending places to eat and things to look out for! The management service even put a crock pot as requested in the condo for us before we got there!

Huge, roomy condo with amazing views

  • 5 of 5

My extended family stayed together in this condo over the summer. The condo is surprisingly large and accommodating with two very large master suites. It was easy to stay out of each other's way. The views are spectacular and all encompassing. It is an end unit so there is plenty of privacy. The condo is well equipped with everything you could need. It was a great find and a great value. We will gladly rent again.

Yep

Perched half way up the West Wall Run on Mt. Crested Butte, this condo is perfectly placed for absolute ski-in/ski-out access in the Winter and Spring and hike and bike in/out in the Summer and Fall. The Mountain Village, with restaurants, shopping and an activity center rivaling many (think mini-golf, bungee jumping, bag jumps, wall climbing, and zip lining all year) is just a ski run and lift away in Winter and a short hike or bike in Summer.

If they still have the energy after a long day of skiing, our kids enjoy steep and fast sledding just at the end of the drive.

Season to season, this condo’s location and it’s situation in Crested Butte offer the best in the area.

Winter to Spring – Crested Butte has something for every skier. It has great learning slopes and some of the best extreme skiing around. The mountains and valleys resemble the Alps in their beauty and severity. The cross-country skiing is endless and one is rarely without a spectacular view. Nearby Irwin Mountain offers cat served powder skiing with serious luxury. It doesn’t stop there – you can also snow shoe, snow mobile or dog sled!

Summer – The activities in Summer are endless. Go fishing, golfing, *mountain biking, hiking, mountain climbing, camping, horseback riding, river rafting, fly fishing, paddle boarding, canoeing, wildflower viewing, birding, rock climbing, kayaking, hot air ballooning, and there is even a community tennis court in town where the balls SKY because of the altitude.

* The mountain biking in CB is world class. The infrastructure on the mountain is mind blowing as are the tricks and jumps the riders do. People come from around the world to ride here.

Fall – When the temperatures begin to drop the Aspen leaves begin to turn from green to gold to red making the surrounding hills and mountains seem to be on fire. The town quiets a bit and everyone takes a breath before the joys of Winter start again!

Crested Butte is a quaint small mountain town that has the flavor of the West as it started as a mining town in the 1800’s. More than likely you will learn a local’s name while you are here and maybe even say hi to her at the grocery or gas station. But it is also home to some of the most sophisticated and elegant dining anywhere. There are too many great restaurants to name. The main street, Elk Ave., is picture perfect yet without the crowd and glitz of some nearby resorts. As they say in CB, “I came for the Winter and stayed for the summer!” Come and see what they mean.
