Open Concept Post+Beam, 4 Bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths plus shower room on a quiet road

Our home MISTO, is a beautiful four bedroom grey shingle with ocean views, situated only steps to the beach at 12 Blaine Road in Ocean Park, Maine.

The UPPER Level has expansive soaring ceilings, an open concept living and dining room and an open kitchen. The living room is furnished with over-size white slip-covered soft seating, complimented by antique pine and wicker. Windows on all sides provide light and great cross ventilation. A wall-mounted flat screen TV and electric fireplace give multiple focal points for family gatherings and entertaining. Also on the UPPER level is a two piece powder room and a wicker-furnished sunroom with three walls of glass to enjoy ocean views and breezes.

A walkout from the sunroom leads to an extensive deck with ocean views perfect for dining, lounging and grilling. It is furnished with lounges, an umbrella table and chairs and BarBQ.

The MAIN floor has four bedrooms plus a four piece bathroom, a separate shower room and laundry area.

Two bedrooms have QUEEN beds with additional space for a baby or tooddler as well.

There is one DOUBLE bedroom and one BUNK room with four beds.

Parking is available for three cars in the driveway. Blaine Road is very quiet and safe for small children with no on-street parking in the area. Blaine is situated in the beach block between Seaside Avenue and the Ocean and is the third road north the of the "creek".

Stroll through the dunes with your morning coffee to watch the sun rise, dig pools in the sandbar at low tide, surf the waves and walk for miles. Walk to the Square for ice cream at the Ocean Park Soda Fountain, lobster rolls and whoopee pies at the OP Grocery, or venture a mile up the road to Old Orchard Beach for amusements, pizza and salt water taffy.

All modern conveniences in shopping and eating are a short drive away in Saco and Biddeford. Easy access to the Turnpike and Route 1 leads to Portland, Freeport, Kennebunkport, Kittery, and all the sight-seeing and shopping you can bear.

About Deborah Davey Wotherspoon

Our family has been vacationing in Ocean Park since 1932, driving from Canada every summer without fail. In 1977 our Father and Mother, John and Barbara Davey, the second generation of Ocean Park lovers had an opportunity to buy property and built our dream cottage at the beach. We named it MISTO for "Mummy I See The Ocean". We now have a fifth generation of Ocean Park beach lovers, digging holes and running to the beach in their jammies.

Ocean Park is like turning back the clock. Established in 1881, many of the cottages and public structures date back to the Victorian era. The "Square" is walking distance from everyone's cottage and "the" spot to get your morning paper, fresh blueberry muffins and cinnamon buns, visit the library, check the Post Office and just soak in the peace and calm. Hopefully you will feel like we do when we leave Ocean Park…like we've turned our own clocks back a bit.
