River Bend Cottage is located on over a 1/2 acre with 100' of waterfront. It is on the upper Colorado River arm of Lake LBJ and is nestled under towering pecan trees providing abundant shade. This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom property (sleeps 8) with a full kitchen including a double oven and a laundry room with washer and dryer. It also has Dish Network, flat screen TV and wifi. The river makes a graceful bend around the property creating lake views from both sides of the cottage as well as the back. There is a boat ramp within 100 yards of the back porch. River Bend Cottage is conveniently located about a mile away from Perrisso's Vineyard (wine tasting on weekends) and less than 5 miles from Longhorn Caverns, a Texas Hill County wonder created thousands of years ago.

Why Scott Mitchell chose Burnet
What makes this House unique
There are many reasons to rent this property. The towering pecans providing shade, the huge covered back porch, the boat dock, the boat ramp within view, the way the river bends around the property creating a true panoramic view. These are just a few of many unique benefits I could list.

This was a very good place to stay. Great location right on the water. Comfortable, clean
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed your stay.
It was great.
We had a nice family vacation. Enjoyed the house and the boat.
Excellent location on the water
First of all, the owner, Scott, and the property location are 5 star. The house is 3 1/2 stars as it is in need of updating. In addition, the house floor has a strange slope downward from kitchen to family room. The floor tile is actually slanted down at this point. It creates a safety concern and caused a few stumbles if you don't watch for it. One one side of the house is the Heart of Texas Resort (bungalows, condos, boat ramp and dock). Good people watching. On the other side is a newer house with a zero star neighbor (the wife). She told us in no certain terms that she does not like renters and to keep off her property. She is rude, argumentative and hostile. The situation put a damper on an otherwise relaxing weekend. I informed Scott who said he will have a talk with her. You might want to ask Scott about status of the neighbor before you book a rental.
Great place to stay.
This was a great place to stay. Scott Mitchell was a really great host. He answered any and all questions that we had. We really enjoyed getting to rent the pontoon boat. My family and dog really enjoyed it and we hope to enjoy many more visits. The house was very clean, fully stocked kitchen and plenty of towels and linens. Thank you Scott Mitchell for letting us have the great experience.
Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed your stay.
Nice place. It was very convient for me.
our third year to stay here. Very relaxing, clean.
Scott the owner is very nice and stays in touch with you. This was our third year to stay here. You feel right at home. This year was vey much needed as we had to evacuate from our home in Rockport due to hurricane Harvey. This trip was planned before hand. We were so stressed and worried upon arrival and this place calmed us down right away. We actually did not want to leave and face what was ahead it was so peaceful. It is kept very clean and plenty of beds. Home away from home. I would defiantly recommend staying here.
