Gear anglers trolling out of boats will find good Coho, Pink and Chinook salmon fishing throughout the sound. Cutthroat salmon travel along the beaches. To discover the many hidden treasures, not to mention shipwrecks, visit a local dive shop or sign up for an underwater dive tour guide to orient yourself. Favorite spots for local scuba divers include Harper’s Pier in Port Orchard and Manchester.
Nearby Bremerton offers a beautiful downtown Harborside area which includes fine dining, coffee shops and the Marina with many permanent ships as well as visiting boaters.
