About Lorraine Heng

After teaching for thirty four years, and repairing cars, and airplanes and investing in properties for even longer, we have retired to a life of 'snow birds', creating home(s) along the west coast. Our home on the McCormick Woods Golf Course is one of our favorites. When we are not playing with the house/ yard, or working on the computer, we are exploring the North West, reading, visiting with friends and family, going for long walks through the Mc Cormick Woods neighborhood, 'workng out' at the YMCA, or driving off for another adventure in our RV.

Why Lorraine Heng chose Port Orchard

We love the ambience, especially the fresh air, forests, clear skies and the natural beauty of the Puget Sound area. It is a great place to take a deep breath, relax, enjoy nature, and explore the wealth of outdoor activities. Having a place to escape the hustle and bustle of major cities, yet still having easy access to Seattle and other favorites like Gig Harbor, Silverspring, Tacoma, and British Columbia has been an important consideration for us.

What makes this house unique

One chief advantage of staying here is the price: It is very inexpensive for what you get. Access to downtown Seattle or Victoria BC via the ferry and/or freeway is simple, yet pleasurable with fantastic scenery along the way. Best of all the house and surrounding neighborhood are a designers’ dream come true. To inhabitants and visitors alike, the house feels spacious, welcoming, comfortable, quiet and very peaceful.

Spacious, well furnished, great privacy

  • 5 of 5

Really loved the big and open layout plan of the home. The home is fully furnished, very comfortable furnishings, good kitchen supplies for cooking, quiet and private setting and location, remote from town, but that was great. Wi fi is great here, too. I stayed in the Kitsap area so this is excellent. Getting around the area is excellent which made this a great location

An excellent choice and one we would certainly consider a repeat visit to.

  • 5 of 5

This home was exactly as described and was located in a very quiet and beautiful location. I would not change anything and would most definitely recommend this location to anyone in the area. This was my first experience coordinating a rental through VRBO and I was just a bit nervous, but there was no reason for that feeling. Our trip could not have been better and our lodging was a big part of that experience. The ability for my daughter to bring her dog along for our visit was greatly appreciated and being a pet friendly rental was a major factor in our choosing this location in the first place. When we return to the area, this will be the first rental that I will check for availability. Thanks for a great vacation.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at a property from this owner. Probably the best word to describe it would be "impeccable". When we arrived it was exactly as described, clean as a whistle, and ready for occupancy. The house is filled with great furniture and decorated like a model home. The grounds are well tended and the huge rear deck surrounded by great landscaping, wonderful for us after a week on the road from South Texas. If your travels bring you to the area you would be remiss not to stay here.
