Cottage nestled in the trees
The house is in a very quiet street, surrounded by trees, just 5 minutes walk from the center of Rockport. It is tastefully decorated, a successful mix of modern and old where you feel good.
Jim is a host to listen to his guests with whom communication is easy, even if you come as we from abroad.
The house is ideally located for visiting the Maine coast, just 5 minutes drive from the beautiful town of Camden, 15 minutes from Rockland, 1h30 from Portland and 2h from Bar Harbor.
We definitely enjoyed our stay in Rockport.
A charming, cozy house on a quiet street in a lovely, atmospheric small town.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable, cozy, and nicely
laid out for our one-week stay. It was quiet, but a short walk (or shorter drive) to
two very good restaurants and a wonderful coffee/shop bakery. Having an outside
deck made a big difference - reading out there was a very enjoyable experience, as well
as using the barbecue two times during our stay. Everything we needed was provided,
during our stay. There are also a great number of windows to open in letting all the
fresh air in when needed, and a fan is also provided.
All in all, being in the house helped make our trip to Rockland totally enjoyable.
Relaxing summer getaway in picturesque Rockport
Great two-bedroom cottage that is very well maintained and provided plenty of space for our family of four. A short two-minute walk to the scenic Rockport marina, where we went swimming in the harbor and played chess on the large outdoor chessboard. Conveniently located between Rockland and Camden, the cottage is just a short drive to the Farnsworth museum, art galleries and restaurants, as well as good hiking to the top of Mount Battie in Camden Hills State Park. Acadia National Park is also a reasonable day trip from Rockport. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this cottage to other families.
Great Getaway Home!
This lovely home is a great place to spend a relaxing vacation. The house was clean and decorated with every attention to detail. The large deck was great for relaxing and having breakfast. The location couldn't be better with just a short drive to Camden or a walk down to Rockport harbor. Loved it!
LOVE this place!
Can’t say enough about this charming cottage. The space is great. The kitchen had everything I could possibly need (better than large houses I have stayed at). Thoughtfully set up by the owners. The deck is wonderful. Peaceful environment and lovely neighborhood. Close to downtown. 2 good coffee houses within walking distance and excellent restaurant in town (Nina June). I would return there in a heartbeat.
Very welcoming VRBO rental -- clean, comfortable, quiet and private.
Very welcoming VRBO rental -- clean, comfortable, quiet and private. The "treetop" deck was gated and had a secure railing which was a real plus since we had our Scottish Terrier with us. There is lots to see and do in the area and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
