Clean, but....

  • 3 of 5

Pros: Location is great, although the three day snowstorm made driving a little... adventurous! Clean, adequate space, living area is comfortable, good kitchen, the management company was wonderful when we called for a short notice Christmas holiday.

Cons: There were cobwebs aplenty in the garage (not a big deal) but many in the house as well (kind of a big deal), no curtains in some of the bedrooms (I'm a light sleeper so the morning light was an issue), thermostat in the large 1st floor bedroom didn't work so we had to open the window or literally sweat profusely, nowhere to hang our coats, etc. near the front door, mattresses, pillows and bedding are old, and finally shower curtains and grout needs some cleaning.

This was no fault of the property manager, sort of, but the drive is quite steep. Unfortunately, as we arrived late on Christmas Eve, the drive had several inches of snow and was too slick to even get our 4-wheel drive vehicle up the drive. Christmas Day dumped several more inches. It was finally plowed the day after Christmas, but not before several slips and falls as we had to walk up and down the full driveway.

Basically, if you're looking for somewhere to crash, especially for a big group, it works. But if you want somewhere that feels like a vacation, a few hundred dollars investment and a more thorough cleaning service would go a long way! More investment if the old carpeting could be replaced...

Owner's Response: Thanks for your feed back. We replaced the faulty thermostat. I passed on the cobweb problem to housekeeping. Sometimes it is hard keeping up with them. The plow drivers come out every 6” of snow. Then they go down their list. Sometimes there is snow in the drive that hasn’t been cleared until we get another 6”. Sorry for the inconvenience. I passed on the other issues to the homeowner. He is purchasing blinds for the windows and some of the other items also.
