About Laurie Davis
We are empty nesters that love the Pacific Northwest and love to travel, hike, garden, and cook. We have another home we list on VRBO. # 618425.
Laurie Davis purchased this House in 2015
Why Laurie Davis chose Hough
We purchased this property due to its location in downtown Vancouver as we wanted to be able to walk to restaurants, shops, the farmer's market, and the waterfront. We are minutes away from Portland, Or and all it offers.
What makes this House unique
This house has so much character as it was built in 1901. It starts on the cozy, inviting front porch. It has original fir wood floors, craftsman features with painted white trim, tons of windows, a gourmet kitchen, a claw foot soaking tub, and a fenced back yard for privacy.

Property is everything it says it is and more!
Laurie was extremely accommodating and we felt that in person the property is a nice gem... location, space, vibe, everything about it was above our expectations and our team had a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend this place to others!
This is a charming house which is very conveniently located for activities in or around Portland.
It has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths which was great for a weekend girls trip.
We enjoyed both the front porch and back yard seating area. We especially enjoyed the back yard chatting and sipping on wine.
I would recommend this house anytime!
Laurie was a perfect host!
Great place !
This was a very nice house, exceptionally clean, well appointed and stocked. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Wonderful, beautiful house that met or exceeded all our expectations and needs
We've stayed in a large number of homes over the years and this home is right at the top of our list for being beautiful, comfortable and perfectly supplied with everything we needed. We stayed as a family (4 adults and 2 children: 3 years old and 10 months old). The house was configured so all of us had private spaces as well as ample space within the common areas (dining room, living rooms). Everything worked! Every appliance, door, lock, sink, toilet and shower was in perfect working order. The air conditioning was especially helpful with outside temperatures soaring into the mid-90s during our stay. Laurie was the perfect, highly-responsive host who clearly stays ahead of any issues, making sure things are right in the first place. We will stay here again when we return to the Portland area. Highly recommended!
We attended a wedding in north Portland and I rented 2 houses to accommodate 5 couples (plus 1 toddler) for 3 nights. This was the preferred house, where we all gathered for breakfasts, etc. It was beautiful and had everything we needed, from children's toys to a chef's kitchen to a large dining room table. The owner was very responsive when we asked if she had a child safety gate for the stairs (yes!). Linens were nice quality and the double shower upstairs was fun! The outdoor temperature was close to 100 degrees so we were happy that the home was air-conditioned. The 2nd floor bedrooms were still a bit warm, but the downstairs stayed cool. Loved it!
The house was exactly as it was described. It was charming and cozy.
