Beautiful lake, Great location, and Amazing house!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect spot for a fishing vacation with my family. Centrally located, so access to each end of the lake is possible. A quick walk over to neighboring marina was super convenient to pick up some bait, fill up with gas, or grab a tasty drink. There is a perfect sandy, shallow spot for kids to take a swim or a pretty sweet playground for them to get a little energy out, and the boat dock/house is a very nice feature! Amazing experience and very likely to return. Thanks!

Rustic cabin with lots of space and to relax and spread out. The covered boat slip is great.

  • 5 of 5

We were very happy with our accommodations. This is an ideal location to go to either side of the lake. The covered boat slip was great to have during the week. Overall it was a great experience and we would most definitely go back to Vermilion Sunrise.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Vermilion Sunrise. All of our needs were met and then some. There are too many great things to say about the facility, I would need 10 pages to describe our great experience.

Great location and amenties for a large family or group

  • 4 of 5

My family and I stayed here June 25-July2, 2016. The cabin is more like a house with lots of extras you won't find in a typical cabin. Dishwasher, Laundry machines, TV's with a whole movie collection, Satellite TV for Twins games, etc., and a Sauna (although nobody in our group used the Sauna). There is 4 bedrooms in the main house and another bedroom in the bunkhouse with the sauna. We had 7 people total including 4 adults and 3 kids ages 9 to 15 and found the sleeping arrangements to be more than adequate. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the utensils and spices you could want or need except we had to bring our own "Fry Daddy" for the fish or you could fry them in a skillet which is provided. The dock is nice for 2 fishing boats covered although the dock does need a little bit of TLC. The dock has power and lights but a few of the posts were coming undone from the frame and there were some nails sticking out which could be easily fixed. The dock is also a very short flat level walkout from the main house/cabin so it is great for older people (my Dad is 80 and it made for a nice easy walk from the cabin to the dock). There is a nice fire pit as well, we brought our own firewood and had a couple of bonfires. . The location on the Lake is also nice because you are almost in the Middle of the Lake and can easily fish the West or the East side of the Lake from this location. The Timbucktu Marina next door is nice for gas, bait, and miscellaneous items you might need as well as the public boat launch which makes it a very convenient location. All in all, a very nice place and we would recommend this place to other people

We loved this house! It had plenty of room for our family of 7 to spread out. We took the boat out and caught lots of fish for dinner. We saw loons and quite a few bald eagles. It was a wonderful house and we would love to return someday!
