About Ron Darling
My name is Ron Darling. I grew up in South Portland, in an area known as Ferry village. My whole family were fishermen. If you couldn't go by boat, you didn't go! I moves to Old Orchard Beach after I got married, bought this house in 1985, and raised my family there. My kids went to Old Orchard Beach schools. I enjoyed my life at 10 Prospect Street.
Ron Darling purchased this House in 1985
Why Ron Darling chose Old Orchard Beach
This was my first property. I'm a building contractor and I've owned a dozen homes since, but I haven't enjoyed any one as much as I enjoyed 10 Prospect Street, with the sound of the waves and the smell of the beach. Now I am back living in Old Orchard Beach - it's funny how you come full circle! I am a hands-on landlord, I take care of my people. I don't rent to anybody I wouldn't live next door to myself.
What makes this House unique
Huge living-room and kitchen/dining area. Big second-floor deck off master bedroom, you can sit out at night gaze at the stars and listen to the waves crash on the beach. Far enough from downtown to be away from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to walk to the beach and downtown. Located on a dead-end street, only traffic is you and your guests.

Great week's stay!
House was VERY spacious and welcoming!
Very Spacious and Cozy
The house was big. A lot of room. On a very quiet street, but close enough to the beach. I would rent again in a heartbeat.
Awsome Family Trip
owner very friendly and always answers any questions may have....comfortable feeling, makes you feel like home....plenty of room for the 9 of us. Location is great, within mins from beach, stores, and pier..... lil store on corner on Union, Tami Lyn's Place, they are very accommodating, great baked goods,we were looking for some gravy and they made homemade from scratch gravy for us, three containers and shipped us off with it and we needed a very small amount of flour, instead of buying a bag they gave us the amount needed free of charge...deff worth the stop to this store very nice
Spacious and confortable house, great location.
The house was perfect for our 9 people group. We called the owner twice for minor problem and got immediate assistance. The large first floor space was appreciated, we could all fit at the table for group meals. The distance from the beach was not too bad and we were happy to be far enough from the train track to not be bothered by it.
Walking distance to beach and downtown Old Orchard Beach (Palace Playland theme park and arcade). 1 mile drive to Funtown USA, Aquaboggan waterpark, and movie theater. 1/2 mile to Eastern trail walking and birdwatching. Canoeing on Scarborough marsh and kayaking or whale watching off Camp Ellis. Shopping in Portland and Kittery - the list goes on!
