Great house to stay near Williams College

  • 5 of 5

This is a well appointed house, tidy and well kept. It has all the amenities for a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. We enjoyed our stay here for 4 days while visiting Williams.

Nice, convenient Williamstown house

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 (with 2 very small children) used this house for a Williamstown trip to visit family and enjoy the lovely summer weather (compared to the heat of Atlanta). The house was very cozy and well-appointed, and we loved being able to walk or jog into town. Everything was clean and well-maintained when we arrived. Laura was easy to get ahold of for any questions that came up.

Great value in Williamstown

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with a group of friends for a classmate's Williamstown wedding. The location was very convenient - we walked Syndicate Road or Route 7/Whitman St to campus - although as other reviewers have said, Route 7 is busy. The house was clean, the kitchen very well-equipped, the beds comfortable, and there were plenty of linens. The owner was very quick to respond to all of my questions, and made it easy for us to add a couple of extra nights to our stay. This is a great value in Williamstown - I would definitely stay here again.

Clean and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Stayed here for a long weekend over July 4 with my mom, husband, and toddler. The house worked really well for us. There was plenty of space, most surfaces looked freshly painted, lovely redone floors upstairs, and overall very clean. The house looks better in person than in the photos, in my opinion. Well-equipped kitchen with most of what you'd need. We did have a bit of trouble coming up with three average-size mugs for tea, but managed.

The house is close to Williams campus and would be a pretty easy walk if you don't have a small child or children with you. The house is on a busy road and it can be a bit loud with trucks during the day, but got quiet at night. The singing birds woke us up in the morning, not the traffic.

There is no cable service, but there is a television with an HDMI cable which allowed us to use our laptop to watch what we wanted. A clock of some sort in the living area would have been nice, but we were on vacation after all, so it wasn't a huge deal. The full bath upstairs is small and in need of updating as has been mentioned, but it is clean. And as the owner of a 100+ year old house myself, I found it charming, and also understand how expensive and inconvenient a complete bathroom overhaul can be.

There is plenty to do in the area. We visited Mt. Greylock, Mass MoCA, and downtown Williamstown for the July 4th festivities and the house served as a great base for us, with reasonable drives to all the sights. We would definitely stay here again if we plan another trip to the area. Owner was great with communication before and during our stay.

Great place, close to Williams College

  • 4 of 5

The house was tidy and clean. We stayed for a college reunion and appreciated being able to walk to campus. The kitchen was well-equipped and the backyard provided good outdoor space for our two small children to enjoy.

Only inconveniences were the busy road (made the walks to and from campus less relaxing, and getting in and out of the driveway a bit stressful), and the upstairs bathroom could use some updating.

We would definitely stay again. The price was also very reasonable for the amount of space and proximity to campus. The owner was friendly and available to answer any questions.
