This is a great home in a very central North Phoenix location. It is close to the Freeway but backs up to the Mountain Preserve so it is very quiet! The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and has been updated throughout. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a walk-out patio. The upstairs bath is open to the master bedroom. The second upstairs bedroom has its own door but opens into the master bedroom area. The two downstairs bedrooms are both private and share a hallway bathroom. Travertine floors, new plush carpeting, new appliances and updated kitchen and baths make this a spectacular vacation retreat. This is our personal house, so everything has been done right. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. High speed wireless internet and cable television are included. The back yard is an entertainers dream with large covered patio, built in BBQ with sit-up bar, children's playground in back yard and a sparkling diving pool with extensive landscaping. NOTE: Pool is not heated! It is great for outdoor BBQ's and sitting out and enjoying the perfect Phoenix weather. If you like to hike or bike, you will love the hiking trails just out the front door. Everything is close by so you won't have to drive far for shopping, restaurants, golfing, sporting events, and all the other activities that Phoenix has to offer.

About Craig Meier
I was born in raised in SD but have lived in Phoenix for over 30 years. I love the outdoor lifestyle here and all the fun things to do in Phoenix. We are going to be snowbirds now and split our time between Phoenix and Crested Butte, CO. We decide that we would share our home in Phoenix with other adventurous travelers when we're not here.
Craig Meier purchased this House in 2005

Nice quiet and relaxing.
It was great, nice quiet good neighborhood. I will definitely be back.
Nice house in a good location
There were two of us staying at the house...we had a business conference and prefer the amenities of a home rather than hotels. The kitchen was well stocked with all the basics, including coffee filters, which was awesome!
I do concur with other reviewers that there is insufficient privacy upstairs for that to be considered two bedrooms unless it is a young child. But then, there is no protection for the open stairwell, so...
But for me, it was not a problem at all. We had a string of really hot days (100 degrees) but the nights were cool so the pool was too cold for me to get in. I'll confess that I like the pool temps in the mid 80s and I think the pool was in the 70s. There was a lot of tree poop in the pool and I used a net on property to clean it. There is a robot vacuum in the pool, but I don't think it could keep up.
Having the garage was awesome as the driveway is a bit steep. but being able to keep the rental car in the garage was a nice benefit. The WiFi was okay, not super fast, but it was usually ok. I had trouble with a couple of video conferences I had and ended up using a personal hotspot. It had better speed than the house wifi.
Overall, it was a comfortable, clean house with plenty of room. it has a functional kitchen with everything you need to cook and the grill outside was a nice feature.
We enjoyed our stay, this is a nice house. The only thing I would say is that the 2 bedrooms upstairs are open to each other and open to the bathroom. Those rooms are ok for parents and their kids.
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. We set the upstairs up for us and our daughter. The kids room does have a door on it but the master bedroom does not.
Great place, great location
This house was a great place to stay. Lots of room, nice patio, great view of the Phoenix Mountain preserve out the back door. The cupboards were well stocked with dishes. The AC worked well and most rooms had ceiling fans.
The Pack and Play and lots of kids toys were used and appreciated. The owner was responsive to questions and accommodating.
About 30 minutes to the airport depending on traffic.
The only thing we would suggest for improvement would be a curtain or a free-standing screen over the opening to the upstairs bathroom. I'd also suggest curtains over the openings in the wall between the bedrooms upstairs for more privacy.
We would definitely consider staying there again should the need arise.
A perfect home for our little family reunion! Kids loved the backyard and the toys. Plenty of room for three families to spread out. Two bedrooms upstairs are connected (not really private) and the master bath does not have a door so keep that in mind for bigger groups. (It was perfect for a family/parents and kids though!) there’s an awesome park nearby and hiking behind the house. Loved it!
Visiting the Grand Canyon
We stayed at the Phoenix property with our daughters, son in law, and grand children. The house was perfect for 8 people. The swimming pool was a life saver as the kids enjoyed swimming every time they got a chance. The back yard was beautiful. It was wonderful seeing a mountain off the patio
This house is centrally located in North Phoenix right on the Phoenix Mountain Preserve by Hwy 51 and Shea Blvd. You are 30 minutes or less from Scottsdale, Downtown Phoenix, Carefree, shopping, restaurants, sporting events (Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks) golf courses, museums.
