perfect accomodations in Cerritos
We stayed at Paige's condo for 16 days, for a family holiday. It was incredibly comfortable, and a short 10 min. easy walk to the beach. The condo has practically everything you need for a comfortable stay -- full kitchen set up, comfortable living area, well appointed and comfy bedrooms. The pool across the way was a huge win with the kids, and very easy from a parenting perspective. We cooked nearly all meals at home, buying supplies locally, and eating on the terrace. It cant say enough how comfortable and easy it was to stay here, and we were two families travelling together. The two level layout allowed the privacy and space needed. Highly recommend.
Dusty and noisy
This a very family oriented property, with a particular attraction for the surfing crowd. The unit is spacious for a group of 6 and ideal for 3 or 4 days. The resort staff are friendly and helpful, and the pool is clean and well maintained.
However, the resort is remote, off a heavily rutted dirt road. Be prepared for a filthy car car your entire stay. There are limited grocery shopping options nearby, so one has to stock up in Cabo, about 45 minutes away. Dining out is limited too, although the pizza available at the pool is terrific and cheap. Two other restaurants nearby are very good quality with prices close to those in N America.
One drawback is the local habit of racing around the area on noisy atv’s, a major impediment to a peaceful stay.
Cerritos beach is 5 mins away and a great place to swim or just beach walk.
Convenient home that had everything. Great place!
Great place close to Cerritos Beach
An easy 1 hour drive north of the Cabo airport. Just turn left at mile marker 65. There is even a song about mile marker 65 at the Cerritos Beach grill. Pick up the key at the registration desk, where you can also borrow DVD movies. They supply bottled water. There is a pool with a hot tub and pool side grill.
The layout of the condo is nice. The private patio area is the main entrance through double sliding glass doors. The sliding door key is a bit tricky. There is a back door from the laundry room which we did not use.
We did not have the sense that security was an issue. Although we were always careful in closing and bolting doors and windows. I would say the back door needs a dead bolt for proper security.
There is no wifi, although a neighbor seemed to have a connection. Frankly having no wifi was a positive. Cell phones did work and you could create a hotspot if you needed to. The DVD player had trouble with decoding regions., couldn't get that to work,. again mostly a positive.
My Wife did mention a faint smell of mildew. Once we aired the place out it seemed to be better. The smell was the strongest in the lower bedroom closet.
We are already talking about planning another trip.
Thank you for posting your review. I am glad you enjoyed our home. I have 2 DVD players in the house to address any coding issues. One was purchased in the US and the other was purchased in Mexico to avoid any coding issues of DVDs. Also, if I have not been in the house a while and there is any humidity in the air, the downtairs bedroom can smell a tad musty from the AC. Simply running the AC and opening the doors is enough to air it out.
We hope you stay with us again in the future. Please pick up the wifi password at the reception desk when you check-in so you can use the wifi.
Again, thank you for choosing to stay in my home and posting a review.
We had a great relaxing stay in Los Cerritos. The house is very new and clean, with new furniture, and our large family was very comfortable, with all the brand new towels, sheets and fluffy pillows, outdoor table and couple of seating hammocks. The owner, right from the start, was absolutely very accommodating in helping us find two pack-n-plays needed as beds for our two year old twins. The house is located in the quiet Villas of Los Cerritos, so we were only 500 meters pleasant walk to the beach, and we had access to the Villas pool and Pizzaria restaurant. On a couple of occasions we had small issues (our of gas for cooking and hot water, freeze that did not freeze), and in a matter of minutes, the supervisor on location for all the Villas, would fix our problem. Our only small suggestion would be to perhaps equip a little bit more the kitchen with more utensils (6 forks, spoons, etc, and we were 7 in total, leaving us short at every meal), more pots and pans for home cooking (currently 1 large pot, a very small one, and 1 medium pan), and of course a blender, to make home-made margaritas possible! We look forward to our next stay there in a couple of years! Many thanks Paige! The Davis family
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to having you stay with us again! Thank you for letting me know of the small number of silverware and pots. Those smaller kitchen items tend to get thrown out once in a while so it's been added to my shopping list!
We had a fabulous stay at this Villas de Cerritos private home! Not only was it spacious and loaded with great comfortable linens and towels, but the location was ideal. We loved being near the pool & just a short walk down to the beach! The peace and quiet was an added bonus for a relaxing weekend getaway. The sunset view was incredible, and we can't wait to take our family for another visit in the near future! Ideal for a week long stay, or even a weekend escape!
Thank you so much Julia! We are so happy you stayed with us and we hope you stay with us again in the future! Gracias!
