About the property
- Apartment550 sqft
- Half Baths0
- Minimum Stay3 nights
We have recently finished building our dream house, which included a very private 550sq/ft apartment above our garage. We designed the apartment to the same level of detail as we did our house. It has all hardwood floors, custom tile in the bathroom. AC for those warm summer days. W/D. It comes fully ready to help you enjoy your stay here in Portland as much as possible. Of course, my wife and I will be here as well to help with any questions you might have. We really wanted to make the apartment very private and secure. Both for our sake and the sake of our guest. Guests enter down a a fully fenced in and well lit private walkway and up an enclosed stairwell to access the apartment. We are here if you need us, but out of the way if you don't.
The apartment overlooks the famed Sellwood Park, which has a playground, tennis courts, baseball fields, picnic areas, a public swimming pool, and a whole host of other fun activities. It is only a few short blocks to all of the dining, shopping, and everything else the Sellwood/Moreland Neighborhood has to offer.
The apartment has a queen bed in the bedroom and a Ikea convertible couch the turns into a double bed. Both are topped with memory foam. The apartment can sleep 4 adults, but that could be a little tight. It would be ideal for (2) adults with or without children.
One can ride just over 3 miles to downtown Portland without ever having a car get in their way along the Spring Water Corridor. The corridor also connects to miles and miles of our famed Springwater system that is through out the city of Portland.
We are very proud of what we have built and look forward to sharing it with you. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

About Geoff Denton
My wife and I have each lived in Sellwood-Moreland for 20 years and our both lifelong Portland/Oregon residents. We met in 2001, married in 2005, and now have three kids ages 5 through 8. We love this neighborhood and never plan to leave. It is an amazing place for families. With the park across from our house and our street lined with kids of all ages there is just no better place to be.
Geoff Denton purchased this Apartment in 2015
Why Geoff Denton chose Sellwood - Moreland
This property is one of the nicest lots in all of Sellwood-Moreland. It is an extra big lot. The house we have constructed is one of the nicest in the neighborhood as well. We have spared no expense. In doing so we feel we have created a totally cool and unique place of two people or family to come and truly experience Portland, and Sellwood in particular, the way it should be experienced. We were both born in Portland, graduated high school, and independent of each other, chose to spend our adult lives here. We know this place and can help people figure out the best way to make their experience awesome.
What makes this Apartment unique
It is a very private, secure, and super comfortable place. You will have your own patio area with a table and BBQ. I spent a lot of time thinking about the apartment in terms of who would be staying there and making sure it would be perfect. I think we are 99% and can't wait for suggestions to take it all of the way to totally perfect!

Great place to stay in Portland!
The combination of accommodations and amenities make this rental a terrific place to stay while visiting Portland. Walking distance to great restaurants, food carts, and the New Seasons grocery store. Comfortable bed and private entrance.
Great location, spacious and clean
We were here for 4 nights, two adults and one teen visiting Reed. Geoff was easy to communicate with. They were out of town most of the time we were there. Plenty of room for 3 people, loved the full kitchen and washing machine. There's a little outdoor space but weather wasn't conducive to using it. We loved the location, right across from a Park, walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. You'll likely want a car if you're going lots of different places. Goeff kindly loaned us bikes. The bike share program which is all over Portland doesn't come this far south. Go to Clod Cap Games (board games)-- incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff told us about their games and picked some for us and they rent! Other neighbors faves: The Bottle Shop, Grand Central Bakery, New Seasons Grocery, blue Kangaroo Coffee, and the roller coaster at Oaks Amusement Park (you can walk there and pay for just one ride--it's tiny but every one of the 30 seconds the right amount of terrifying). We feel in love with Portland on this trip and will be back and hope to stay at Geoff's again.
Everything was fine except for the ants. We know those are a wide-spread infestation in the neighborhood and the severity is directly proportional to the access to food they might have, so we kept that to a minimum. All in all, we could not have had any place that would have been better for us during this weekend!
best vacation home
Great Great Great,
this is one of the best Vacation Homes in USA. We can only recommend this Vacation Home. The house was very clean and we have found everything important on site. The owner's family Denton is very friendly and helps where is able to do you. The equipment is suitable absolutely in order and for small families very well.
Lovely, clean, comfortable and in a great location.
You two were the perfect guests! Thanks for staying with us and force review!
Cozy In Sellwood
This was our third visit and we plan to be back. Great location, walking distance to shopping and restaurants, and right across the street from a lovely park. Whether you are staying overnight or for a month, this is a great place to consider.
You gotta tell me what i can do to get 5 stars. I’d do anything for you two!
Our apartment is in the premiere location in the awesome Sellwood Neighborhood. Sellwood is loaded with shops, restaurants, bars, antique shops, and a whole host of other fun things to do. Sellwood park is across the street from your door offering a car free gateway all the way to downtown Portland and all it has to offer. Sellwood Park has a playground, seasonal public swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts. The Willamette River and the Spring Water Corridor are just a few blocks away. You can't beat this location.
