About Raymond Rammeloo
I currently live on a working farm in Ontario, Canada with my wife Wilma. One of my favorite past-times is horseback riding on our farm with my children and grandchildren. I also enjoy building projects and renovations. I encourage you to inquire with any comments or questions you may have for myself, or my daughter Ashley who helps organize reservations. I look forward to having you stay at VistaBella!
Raymond Rammeloo purchased this House in 2015
Why Raymond Rammeloo chose El Salvador
My family and I have visited El Salvador several times on mission trips and fell in love with the people and the beautiful land. I couldn't think of anywhere else I would want to spend my vacation. My whole family and I work together to make this vacation home a wonderful, peaceful place to spend time.

Very nice location and excellent beach front.
Location is very close to San Luis Talpa town, the airport and also from San Salvador. Very nice beach front. Property has a constant breeze which makes it very confortable. Enjoy our stay. Owner facilitated information regarding the property and its surroundings with precision.
Plenty space and amenities to enjoy.
This was my second time staying at Vista Bella. The whole house is clean, tidy and uncluttered. Bedrooms are lovely and air conditioned. I really liked the design of the house, the living space is extended to the patio area by a wall of ceiling to floor patio doors and windows. Perfect for large groups and to keep an eye on the children. I love spending time at the pool in the hammocks and of course right on the ocean. Another great feature is the locked bedroom wing, I felt confident at night time and also leaving the property knowing I our personal items were secure.
Our housekeeper Maritsa and her daughter were friendly, always smiling and willing to help with meals and cleaning, but not intrusive on our down time.
We went on a few day trips with our tour guide Julio. Great guy. Full of information on the local area and the people. He has taken us zip lining, coffee plantations, restaurants and of course the market for shopping just to name a few.
This was such a relaxing trip I would stay again and have recommended it to others.

We absolutely loved the property. All newly renovated and very clean. Pool was a perfect size and distance to the beach only steps away. We loved having Maritsa cook and clean for us. It really felt like a true vacation. The guide (Julio) was amazing and we felt very safe even though he took us to places most tourists don't go. He was so knowledgeable and we learned so much history etc of El Salvador. Everyone we told about out adventure want to go there as well! On top of everything, the weather was amazing! Great place to go. We will be returning soon!

Wow what a great vacation. If you are in for some adventure and relaxation this is the perfect place to stay. The beach house is a beautiful large open concept and newly renovated with separate sleeping quarters, an Inground pool, hammocks and the ocean just outside your door, everything you need to relax. There is so much to see, we went on some day trips up in the mountains to a mud bath, sugar cane plantation, pineapple grove, climbed the largest clock tower in the area seen a couple of very old churches with lots of history and more. We hired a very knowledgeable tour guide ( Hulio ) recommended by the owners. We also hired Maritsa and her daughter to cook and clean most days, we ate out for some meals when on our sightseeing tours, the food was very good. We felt safe at all times. We will definitely go to El Salvador again and stay at the Vista Bella, we want to see a coffee plantation and the cascades the next time we go.
Lovely House - Perfect for a family reunion!
Visited August 25-31, 2016.
The house is beautiful, modern, well-maintained, and very private.
COMMON AREAS are open concept: living room/dining-room/kitchen. There is a large TV (no cable), DVD player with lots of movies. Evenings are hot, even with all doors open. I’d like to suggest a couple of ceiling fans OR tower fans.
BEDROOMS: The four bedrooms are in a separate, lockable wing; we slept feeling very secure. All bedrooms have A/C, which is a must for the hot and humid nights.
CARETAKERS: Maritza and husband are sweet and helpful. We hired them for additional services (cooking/cleaning/washing). Maritza is an excellent cook; give her instructions how you want the food prepared.
The wash: I am afraid, though, without a washing machine, washing for a large family (we were 10 people) it’s a bit taxing, especially with the humid, rainy weather. I'd like to suggest a washing machine!
LOCAL FOOD STORES/ATTRACTIONS: We ate a lot of fresh fish purchased at the Co-Op less than two miles away. The fish arrives fresh daily.
There are many little stores outside; the staff will run errands for you (small fee). Otherwise, there is a Super Talpa supermarket 5 miles away.
CAR RENTAL: strongly suggest a car retal, for errands, local attractions, to/from airport, etc. Driving is easy and safe. The directions provided are easy.
RESTAURANTS: a couple of western style restaurants are nearby. Many little kiosks right outside the house open at night and prepare pupusas, we didn't feel lucky. Maritza can make these for you!
ATRACTIONS: Less than 15 miles away is Estero y Mar, on Pimental Beach. We ate lunch and took a mangrove tour by boat, or you can hire kayaks.
THE BEACH: The beach itself was a bit of a let-down the sense that there were rip tides present (we took a couple of nasty tumbles). It is not a flat beach, and dips into the ocean. People should not venture alone into these waters, and kids need to be supervised. Other than that, it’s a nice beach for viewing and walks in the evening.
SECURITY: The house has open access to the beach, and there is light gate; we felt safe at all times. Plus locking the sleeping quarters area, gave us a sense of security.
SUMMARY: A lovely house, spacious, comfortable, with a beautiful, clean swimming pool! The owners are also lovely and we kept open communication going before traveling. Bring your favorite cooking spices, or things that you can’t do without, as those may not be found there.
Quiet, relaxing, clean, friendly atmosphere, modern and new providing us th most relaxed holiday!
Fun to experience local life styles from buying fish from fishermen coming in from their morning catches, right on the back beach, to learning about El Salvadors history with tours from the villas teamed tour company. We enjoyed safe travel with both rented tour van and local taxi connections, which both spoke fluently in English! Local markets and grocery stores gave lots of variety of local cuisine and favourites from home! Waking every morning to a fresh pot a coffee and the option to your meals cooked gave us more luxury then we could imagine. An app on our phones came in very useful to learn and communicate in Spanish while out in local areas, we felt welcomed wherever we traveled!
El Salvador has some amazing surfing beaches, many of them relatively undiscovered. Amatecampo is considered one of the best Intermediate surfing destinations in the country, and on this quiet stretch of beach, you'll have the waves practically to yourself!
