About the property

Large, secluded, custom 3 bedroom/2bathroom home, with Mountain View

This spacious, quiet, 2600sqft home sleeps from one to eight guests. The great room floor plan enhances privacy, comfortably accommodating either a single large group, or a sharing by two separate smaller parties. The Master Suite has one queen and one full bed, a full bathroom, and a separate exercise room. On the other end of the home are two bedrooms separated by a second bathroom. The first bedroom has two twin beds, with a queen bed in the second bedroom. In the center of the home is the open spaced kitchen, dining room, and sunken living room.

A separate attached room has a slate pool table, which easily converts to a table tennis setup. In the garage is an area set aside for an arcade style basketball game, and another area for darts. Adjacent to the garage is a court for playboule,

a French outdoor bowling game, played with steel balls. The large deck on the back of the home is accessed through the French Doors in the dining room. The home is designed to create a harmonious balance between activity and serenity.

About Joe Kenstowicz

Six decades ago, my family rented a vacation home for a week, one August. It was there that I first learned how to swim, fish, row a boat, and play horseshoes. In my memory, our shared experience created the deepest bonding that my family ever felt. It is my hope that any kid "from one to ninety two" that rents my vacation home, will make similar memories, lasting a lifetime.

Joe Kenstowicz purchased this house in 2011

Spacious, clean and cozy property

  • 5 of 5

We were two families a total of eight people, and we felt absolutely comfortable at this house. Everything was great, the beds super confortable, the living room really big, the deck perfect to relax after a day hiking in Yosemite.

Highly recommended

Beautiful Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband, three kids and I had the privilege of staying in this secluded getaway for a week while visiting Yosemite. The house was clean, well decorated, and stocked with the essentials (i.e. seasonings, sauces, silverware). We really enjoyed the pool table and basketball game, and the Netflix and piano were also nice touches. The property is beautiful and on our way in and out of the neighborhood we saw such wildlife as deer and wild turkeys. It was about 11-12 miles from the quaint tourist town of Mariposa and approximately an hour away from the entrance to Yosemite. In Mariposa, we recommend Suger Pine Cafe for breakfast, Savoury's for dinner, and Yosemite Treats for ice cream; the gas station right outside the entrance of the neighborhood had better prices than places in Mariposa and on the way to Yosemite. Overall a wonderful stay in a beautiful home.

Thank you for everything Joe!

Great place for a family/group to stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time! The house was nice and CLEAN! The photos really don't do justice to what the house looks like, it is beautiful. The owners, Joe and his wife have done a great job in maintaining this home. I HIGHLY recommended.

I stayed with my wife, our kids and two other couples, we had plenty of space. We spent a lot of time in the game room playing ping pong and pool. We drove to the park and ride in Mariposa and took the YART to Yosemite for a $12 round trip you don't have to worry about driving. On your way back from Yosemite valley, make sure to pick up the YART at the Half Dome bus stop, this is the first stop, this way you make sure you get a spot in the bus, it fills up quickly.

Joe thank you for opening your house, we hope to come back in the future!
