The Three Palms was elegant and relaxing. It's conveniently located near the water front. The home offers many amenities. The large dining room was perfect for entertaining. The home is very clean and everything we needed was right there. I will definitely rent again!!
What a wonderful home. It's like a bed and breakfast all to yourself! The kitchen is well appointed and comfortable. The furniture is historical but, not stuffy.
So glad you enjoyed David. It was nice to meet you and your son. Thanks again for letting me pick up my fishing gear.

Beautiful home, very comfortable! Loved it
We had family in town for my son’s high school graduation and they were able to comfortably stay just a block away. All the comforts of home. A wonderful stay and so helpful for us. Perfect VRBO, would highly recommend it!
Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We were very comfortable throughout our stay. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. It was so nice to have the feel of a luxurious, historical "bed and breakfast", but with our own living room, kitchen, and bedrooms. The location was perfect for enjoying all the downtown and garden tour events. The house is within easy walking distance to town. Communication with owners was great. (Just an FYI: The master bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed that is high off the floor-even with its own step stool. Also the bathroom is actually open to and a part of the very large bedroom. The second and third bedrooms were very roomy with a bathroom conveniently located between them in the hallway.)
We were inspired by the creativity and beauty of the artists and gardens in the Easels in the Garden tour. The town of Edenton is a hidden gem with great restaurants (especially Bistro 309), a cozy coffee shop, charming streets, friendly people, historic landmarks, and an informative trolley ride. We hope to return and this home would certainly be our first choice of lodging.
An Elegant and Comfortable Stay for the Holidays
This was a lovely home for our family to gather for the holidays: a large, open, well-equipped kitchen accommodates multiple cooks, guests, and a puzzle table; the massive dining table with beautiful china and crystal glassware added an elegant touch to our holiday meal; and the comfortable front room couch and chairs with the gas fireplace was the perfect place to relax and chat or watch TV. Beds were comfortable and, despite the very cold weather, the house stayed toasty and warm (amazing, given the height of the ceilings!).
The house is located two short blocks from the waterfront and the main shopping area, which is small but charming. We walked to a local dinner spot one night (Governor's Pub) and enjoyed the casual, family-friendly atmosphere (and great wings). Historic markers around town recall the colonial character of this once thriving port town. Currently the historic theater is slated for renovation back to its 1920's heyday, another of the ongoing projects aimed at restoring/retaining the unique character of the town. Volunteers at the Visitor's Center and shopkeepers were happy to chat and share stories, and a day trip to the Dismal Swamp (~45 minute drive) was fascinating.
The house has been lovingly restored and decorated, with gorgeous wood floors, embellished window treatments, and elegant yet comfortable furnishings. The owners had small but welcoming holiday decorations on the front porch and on the front room mantelpiece, and we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood to see all the lights. While I would agree with previous comments that this is perhaps not the best option for visitors with small children, we five adults very much enjoyed our quiet holiday in this lovely home in Edenton.
We loved this home! Perfect location for us. Close to the water and main street. Very charming and warm! Quiet neighborhood. So comfortable! We'd love to come again!
You will find many national and local historical sites within a block of Three Palms.
