About Amparo Hartman

Amparo is a native of Colombia and spent much of her childhood and young adulthood in both El Rodadero Beach and the nearby historic town of Santa Marta. After her marriage to Bill and move to the Unites States in 2002, she wanted to find a property in this beautiful area in Colombia. In 2014, Amparo discovered Apartment 1505 in El Penon and knew that this was the spectacular view of the sea which she wished to share with others. Amparo is connected with many people, including family members, whom are available to assist guests to help make their stay as wonderful as possible.

Located on the 15th floor, this apartment with a panoramic view of the sea takes advantage of the frequent nightly sea breezes and offers a relaxing break from activities on the beach below. The immediate area within 3-4 blocks offers everything from modern shopping to traditional Colombian street vendors with delicious fruits, juices, fish and homemade breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings, along with clothing items typically reflecting the history of the area.

What makes this apartment unique

Along with the warm waters along El Rodadero Beach, excellent and very affordable bus, taxi and, in some cases, boat service is readily available to transport guests to numerous other pristine beaches, famous Tayrona Park, the fish restaurants in Taganga, an aquarium, and all of the quaint shops and historic restaurants in nearby Santa Marta, the oldest city in South America.

beautiful apartment in a very nice building with stunning views

Great view, clean, safe.

We enjoyed our trouble free stay here. We felt it a better place to stay then in Santa Marta yet very close to Santa Marta, the national park, Minca, beaches etc. The building staff were very helpful. The unit has great views and with windows open day and night the apartment had a great breeze and you can hear and see waves all day and night. Thanks Amparo.

ATENCION PERSONAL WOW, APARTAMENTO NO TANTO

La propietaria y la Sra. Nelsy fueron muy atentas y nos atendieron muy bien antes de nuestra llegada, durante y en la despedida.

Sin embargo el apartamento no justifica el precio pagado:

- El edificio no tiene salida directa a la calle, se ha de salir por el parking y una rampa empinada o por una larga escalera excavada en la roca a la playa.

- No es adecuado para mas de 4 personas. Si hay más, los que duermen en la planta baja no pueden dormir por el ruido del aire acondicionado, y si se apaga, arriba solo contamos con los ventiladores. Solo cuentan con una mesa para 2 personas.

- Necesita una reforma, las instalaciones son de origen y el edificio es antiguo.

Adecuado si solo se quiere usar para dormir, y en ese caso el precio no se justifica.
