About the property

1 Bedroom Apt with city view

Bright, large one bedroom, big eat-in kitchen, full bathroom (tub and shower) in a great location. The 24/7 bus to Manhattan stops 2 blocks away and is express to the city. Great NYC skyline views from the bedroom and kitchen. Plenty of space!

This apartment is modern, fresh and clean. This one bedroom apartment has high ceilings, french doors to living room, hardwood floors throughout. Beautiful crown molding and chair railings have been added throughout. You'll have a view of the gorgeous New York skyline from your bedroom window and from the kitchen window.

Lovely old three story building with this apartment on the top floor (no elevators). Community shuttle bus picks up right at the corner and takes residents and visitors to the ferry terminal, as well as other stops in Weehawken.

24/7 bus to Manhattan stops two blocks away and the next stop is Times Square. Ride is about 10 minutes with some delays during heavy traffic periods.

The bedroom has a queen bed and a rollaway single, there is also a queen size daybed in the living room.

Weehawken is a great place to stay. No problem to walk home home from the bus (2 blocks away) late at night - streets are well lit and secure.

You are four blocks away from fantastic views of the New York skyline and a few more blocks away from the ferry into NYC. Hoboken is just down the hill so you can visit Frank Sinatra's family :)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

Q: How will I get the keys?

A: Once the booking is complete I will invite you to view and download an app about the apartment. In that app you’ll get info on how to find the keys and access the apartment.

Q: Is it near the subway?

A: We are across the river from midtown, but there is no subway access (yet). Instead, we commute by the super awesome “chicken buses” or private jitney buses, that run every 5 minutes, all day and all night. As in 24/7 access. The cost is $3 per trip and I’ll send you detailed info once you’ve booked.

Q: Do you have an elevator?

A: Nope. But I am happy to help you carry luggage up the stairs if needed, we can make arrangements. I promise it's not a big deal.

Q: Is the neighborhood safe?

A: Weehawken Heights is a very comfortable and easy place to be in. There are tons of families, professionals, apartments, private houses and the streets are well lit. You can walk home at any time of the night and not be bothered.

Q: Do I need to bring towels, a hair dryer, or linens?

A: Nope! I provide all these things. Same with basic toiletries such as soap, shampoo, hand soap

Q: Will I have a key? Can I come and go as I please?

A: Yes and yes. And I wouldn't trust any apartment with which this isn't the case.

Q: Can my friend sleep on the sofa?

A: I’m very particular about the guest count. You may only have the number of guests stay that you booked for. What if there is an emergency and we need to evacuate the building? Don’t you want me to know how many people are there? Please communicate with me if you have a last minute friend want to stay with you.

Q: What's my total booking price?

A: Owners see a different screen then guests. You’ll see the final price on the pre-approval, or you can check the final price yourself by entering your dates and the number of guests. The system will calculate the amount and show you the total (but it won’t show me the final total as I don’t see the service fee). figure should be present after you enter your dates.

Q: Does the apartment look the same as the photos?

A: Yes, the pictures were taken by a professional photographer. I may change around the linens or move some cushions around, but it looks like the pictures.

One last thing: Because you read this entire listing to the end, you get bonus points for your ability to follow directions. To redeem them (for increased chance of booking!) just include the phrase “I read the FAQs!" at the top of your message.

Perfect appartment for a visit in NY

  • 5 of 5

Were in NY at the beginning of September 2017, where we - my wife and my two daughters aged 20 and 22 - had rented Maria's apartment in the Weehawken. Many recommend that you live in Manhattan, but it is taste and pleasure. We enjoyed our stay in the Weehawken. The apartment was ok in size for us four and was furnished and decorated to our liking. However, we would appreciate if there had been a closet or shelf space to put clothes on. There is to hang clothes on hangers, but we would personally appreciate a little closet space. Maria was very easy to grab if there were any challenges - and she was very quick to solve these challenges.

The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood and we enjoyed the tranquility after a whole day in the hectic and sometimes noisy NY. The apartment is located very close to the buses that drive to and from Manhattan in one away. The buses popularly called "Chickenbusses" run 24 hours a day. At the same time, bus route 111 runs from the same location as Chicken Bus to the Jersey Garden Outlet Center - worth a visit.

At the same time, we can recommend Jose, as we used at the airport pickup on our arrival and again when we traveled from NY. We came into contact with Jose via Maria.

Thank you Maria for a lovely stay - we will be happy to come again :-)

Wonderful flat for a visit in NYC

  • 5 of 5

Perfect accommodation for a trip to NYC. The flat is clean, cosy and pretty. The bus to town only 5mins walk away. Maria was an awesome host, always within reach. We can also recommend her driver José, who is extremely friendly and reliable.

Great find

  • 5 of 5

Maria's apt was a great for our family of 5. There was plenty of room and the apt was clean. She was a wonderful hostess...loved her recommendations on restaurants & sightseeing. Also she was very detailed oriented on how to get to the bus stop and which bus to take.

Trip to NY

  • 5 of 5

Maria's Apartment is a good choice for a Trip to NY. The next bus Stop to Manhatten is only 3 Minutes away, from there you need only 10-15 minutes near Times Square. We spend 5 days in Maria's Apartment and we enjoyed it.

Maria is a perfect host.

Nice option for families

  • 5 of 5

This is a great option for a family looking to visit NYC, but not wanting to stay downtown. A nice, clean, modern apartment with a pretty cool view of the city. All the amenities are there. Easy to find and a short walk to the bus stop. When we come back, we'll be staying here again!
