About Pete Pennington
I grew up in a small town a couple hours North of Bend. We spent holidays at a family home in Sisters. I love the area. When a wilderness therapy company opened in Bend in 2005, I jumped at the opportunity to return. I spent six years living out of a backpack working with troubled youth East of Bend. My connection with the area grew stronger and I committed to staying in the area. After going back to school at OSU, I founded a nonprofit where I serve as the Executive Director.
Pete Pennington purchased this House in 2015
Why Pete Pennington chose River West
I rented the house across the street. Literally. When the houses around me became vacation rentals, I adopted the motto: "Live where you vacation." I love the location. I can ride my bike to Phil's trail, beat the traffic up the hill to Bachelor, walk my dog to Drake park, run from my front door through the Old Mill to the River Trail and eat at my favorite restaurants. The Victorian has best brunch in Bend. Brother Jon's Buffalo Mac is my comfort food. Parilla's blackened salmon wrap gets me through those times when there's just too much going on to find time to cook. I teach yoga at Namaspa, two blocks West of the house and love being able to walk to class and avoid the parking at 10 barrel. I bought the house because I've lived here for 10 years and this address gives me the highest quality of life I could have.
What makes this House unique
Location, location, location. You won't have to drive or deal with parking. With the bike's, you can be anywhere within 8 minutes. You don't have to worry about drinking and driving. Your legs will be warm by the time you hit the trail at Phil's. You can walk to the river, yoga, food options...

Excellent location, quaint house
You can’t beat this location! Perfect for walking around Bend and exploring. House was cozy and cute. Would definitely recommend.
Great host! The house is very confortable and has a vintage feel in its decor!
Pete was sick to respond to any question, and keeps the house in nice shape for his guests! Recommended!!
Great property with a great location
We stayed over a weekend and this place had everything we needed. Close to Galveston street shops and restaurants
I have to say that the beds were very comfortable. However, there wasn't a microwave. Seems silly to me. The dishes were mismatched and chipped. The interior finishes were very much, homeowner type poorly done. The house is on the corner of a busy street which you don't know till you arrive. Finally although we paid a cleaning deposit, we were responsible for washing the dishes and the towels upon leaving. Needs improvement.
Bendite bungalow review
Very convenient location. Walkway and Driveway were covered with snow when we got there. Surprised it had not been shoveled off. Very clean and comfortable.
Great place, great location, great time!
Everything we needed; Soooo charming, cozy beds, great kitchen, huge TV, hot - hot tub! We'll be back.
