Overview

About the property

Amazing green built home a half mile walk from downtown Asheville

[City of Asheville Permit #16-11288, issued 11/21/2016]

Come enjoy my home and this fabulous town. I'll happily offer advice on things to do and places to go if you'd like. Just don't bring the party home with you - the house is in a cool neighborhood and respecting the neighbors is important to me.

Amazing home with long range views of the mountains and downtown. I personally built this home in 2014, with an emphasis on arts and crafts and a focus on interior contemporary design. This 1200 square foot home takes advantage of an open floor plan on all three levels and high vaulted ceilings, giving the home a very spacious feeling.

Beautiful modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a gas range. Though the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook a gourmet meal, we find most of our guests enjoy sampling all of the amazing food Asheville has to offer!

There is a very comfortable Queen bed in the upstairs loft as well as a sofa bed in the same room (also on the top floor in the open space - appropriate for a kid or two) and a sofa couch on the bottom level. Both the upstairs loft/bedroom and downstairs bedroom have a private bathroom and television with apple tv (similar to netflix).

My neighborhood is low-key and family-friendly. Great neighbors who appreciate respectful guests!

Top floor: Lofted bedroom- no door but visually private from each floor.

Middle floor: Kitchen and lounge area with extra half bath/ access to deck and small yard

*Please note this home is three levels, accessed by stairs. The driveway can fit two cars, there is also on street parking if needed for additional vehicles.

Perfect location, beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

The home is within walking distance (10 mins) of downtown, but is far enough from the city center so as to be quiet and peaceful. It is beautifully built with craftsman-like qualities and careful attention to detail. The space is open and airy.

The bedrooms are open concept, but as one is on the top floor and the other on the ground level, with the floor containing the kitchen & dining space between them, there is no issue of privacy or noise.

The owner is very friendly and responsive. He showed us around the home, how to use the appliances, etc. and recommended places to visit. We would definitely stay here again.

Great private home

  • 5 of 5

Perfect for couples or larger parties not planning on spending a lot of time inside. Well appointed with beautiful views. The "no blinds" upstairs master freaked me out at first but the views were beautiful at night (it feels private but if your used to waking up in the dark bring your sleep mask). We opted for Uber to downtown in the evenings which is always a good call when visiting the plethora ofaaging breweries in the area. Thanks for making our stay so pleasurable. Cheers!

Comfortable, Clean, Modern Gem!

  • 5 of 5

Craig's 3 story home was the perfect place for a girls' weekend getaway. The house was immaculate and super comfortable. The pics do not do it justice. The location is a $5 uber ride to the heart of downtown Asheville and completely walkable under sober conditions. Craig was the perfect host. He was accessible if needed and stocked the home with coffee, creamer, a bottle of wine and fresh flowers. What more could a girl ask for!!!

We would definitely recommend doing the "Taste of Asheville" food tour. The 7 restaurants we sampled were all unique and amazing. Definitely worth the $60 value. Kayaking the French Broad and meditating in the Salt Caves were another highlight. "Biscuit Head", "Curate" and rooftop sunset with cocktails at "Sky Bar" are all a must.
